High School Love On Episode 2 Recap/Review July 19, 2014

In the second episode of High School Love On Seul-Bi is going in front of a truck becomes she wants to be an angel again and Hyun-Woo saves her. He takes her back to his house. Sung-Yeol is with his stepmother and drops his cup and it breaks she tells him to clean it up and she pushes her down and she cuts her hand on the glass. In the morning Hyun-Woo has decided to transfer schools and Seul-Bi is wearing his old uniform that he threw away. Grandma gives them money for him to buy a new uniform and for her to get some new clothes. At the store when he buys his uniform she also chooses a school uniform.

Sung-Yeol is celebrating his birthday with his dad and stepmom and as they are leaving a guy steals his stepmom’s bag. His dad who is a police officer runs after him and Hyun-Woo and Seul-Bi are walking by and she starts chasing him as well. Hyun-Woo finds him and they fight for awhile when the guy grabs a large piece of wood and Seul-Bi uses her power to get it out of his hands.

The dad catches up and puts him in handcuffs, Sung-Yeol had also chased after and catches Seul-Bi as she is fainting. Hyun-Woo gives Seul-Bi a piggyback and he commends her for trying to help.

 

Seul-Bi gets a visit from her angel friend and he gives her all the documents she needs to live as a human. Grandma is taking some pills and Seul-Bi walks in and she hides them. She asks her if she likes Hyun-Woo and she agrees she does because she doesn’t want to explain that she wants to get to know him to figure out why she turned human. 

Hyun-Woo is late for school because Seul-Bi damaged the clock and has to do pushups and run laps because he is late. He is in the same school and class as Hyun-Woo and the class make him sing a song after the introduction. Hyun-Woo sits next to Chun-Shik and the gang from his class who were also late bully Chun-Shik because they have a tradition where whoever sits next to a new student has to do an orientation. Hyun-Woo goes to the bathroom to help Chun-Shik and then Sung-Yeol stops the guys and makes them leave.

Sung-Yeol gets a text from his real mom saying she can’t come for his birthday. Sung-Yeol’s stepmom is teaching and him and Hyun-Woo get kicked out of class for being late. Sung-Yeol starts punching Hyun-Woo and the stepmom comes out and Sung-Yeol asks if his mom has to come and that she is busy and the stepmom slaps him.

Hyun-Woo and Sung-Yeol have to run laps and Sung-Yeol tells him that he can punch him and he does. Seul-Bi is working at the grandmother’s restaurant and answers the question right on the quiz show on tv and a girl from Hyun-Woo’s school test her knowledge with her homework and she gets them right. Grandmother tells Hyun-Woo that she thinks Seul-Bi should go to school and Hyun-Woo doesn’t want her to go to his. The stepmom is happy about her purse being found because she kept some necklace with a lock on it that is special to her. 

She tries to give Sung-Yeol a cake and present and he just insults her and she leaves. At school some girl tries to convince Hyun-Woo to join her club and he turns her down. Hyun-Woo while getting ready for swimming overhears the leader of the gang talking on the phone with someone and gets mad at him for hearing it.

Hyun-Woo makes excuse not to swim and has to clean up instead. The leader of the gang takes Hyun-Woo’s clothes and gets them wet in the sink. Hyun-Woo phones the restaurant and tells Seul-Bi to bring him some new clothes. The leader of the gang starts harassing Hyun-Woo while he is cleaning up and knocks him into the water. Hyun-Woo struggles in the water and flashbacks to him as a kid not being able to swim in the water and his mom isn’t watching him. Hyun-Woo struggles and the leader walks out. The episode ends with Hyun-Woo still underwater.

So I was expecting that Hyun-Woo and Sung-Yeol would have recognized each other from before the purse incident but they don’t seem too and I was thinking they disliked each other but Sung-Yeol saved him and even was apologizing for punching him. I feel that Sung-Yeol is really unnecessarily mean to his step-mom, I mean he must really hate her but she doesn’t even seem that mean! especially for a stepmom since they are usually the ones who are more abusive. I mean I get hating her for replacing his mom and her trying to suck up to him all the time but to throw her on the broken glass was a bit much! The stepmom seems to have a lock on her necklace and I am wondering if Hyun-Woo’s is the key to the necklace! I wonder what there connection is? is she his mother? but that doesn’t seem right? I think that Seul-Bi will come and save Hyun-Woo so he doesn’t drown and she will probably use her powers! It also seems like grandmother is ill and she is keeping it from Hyun-Woo! I like her I hope she doesn’t die!! It was so cute when Sung-Yeol asked Hyun-Woo about Seul-Bi!! They would be so cute together!! I am starting to enjoy this drama more and more!! How about everyone else, what do you think about this series so far??

 

Her Legend Episode 2 Summary August 9, 2013

The 2nd episode starts with Jung-Soo getting into the lady Woo Do-Young the woman who can’t have children car. The men try to stop her but Do-Young gets them off and she drives away. Jung-Soo continues to have pain and frequent urination.

Do-Young takes her to the police station and she files a report for her because her uncle had not filed her missing. Do-Young takes her to her old house so she can get her stuff because Jung-Soo realizes that she lives in the same area that she used to.

They go to Do-Young’s house and makes Jung-Soo spaghetti but Jung-Soo is in pain and they go to the hospital. 

The doctor tells them that she has a  aseptic cystits bladder infection caused by  extreme stress or anxiety.

Jung-Soo’s uncle and aunt find out where she is and they go to her and the aunt complains about the medical bills they will have. Do-Young as she leaves pays her bill. The aunt stays with Jung-Soo for one night and then leaves Jung-Soo alone at the hospital. Jung-Soo comes home and then the uncle buys Jung-Soo new shoes and the aunt thinks he bought them for Kyung-Hee and when she finds out she didn’t the aunt and Kyung-Hee are mad. Later Jung-Soo gives the shoes to Kyung-Hee and she is mad and doesn’t want them and tells her to stop trying so hard because her mom doesn’t want her living here.

Do-Young starts sketching Jung-Soo’s face and remembers spending time with her.She goes to Jung-Soo’s old home and it is being emptied so she fills up her box with Jung-Soo’s belongings.

Aunt Mi-Yun is sick so Jung-Soo makes her some porridge and has medicine for her. Jung-Soo then remembers that her mom used to make her medicine made out of honey so when her boy cousin Kyung-Ho comes home, she asks him where the honey is and he finds it for her. It is on a high shelf so as he is bringing it down the honey hits the ground and shatters. The aunt comes out and is so angry because it is expensive and is complaining loudly and Jung-Soo helps her pick up the glass. Do-Young has made it down to their house and sees them picking up the glass. Do-Young takes Jung-Soo aside and tells her to tell her honestly what she is feeling because that is what brave girls do. Jung-Soo tells her that she missed her and Do-Young says she must have heard her telepathy. 

 Jung-Soo goes back home and gives her aunt honey from Do-Young. Do-Young talks to her husband and she tells him that she has a girl in mind to adopt. Kyung-Ho asks him mom for some money and she says no. Jung-Soo asks her aunt if she can go to school and her aunt tells her that she hasn’t allowed her to stay so it is not necessary and that she has a grudge against her mother because her mom ran away her uncle would still have a decent job. Kyung-Ho phones home and Jung-Soo answers and since her aunt is away he lies to her and tells her to bring some money that is hidden to school because his mom forgot to bring it. Jung-Soo is caught taking the money and throws her out, Do-Young watches this and tries to console the crying Jung-Soo.

Do-Young talks to the aunt and she asks if she can have Jung-Soo since she is not wanted here and that she wants to adopt her. Jung-Soo hears this and just as Do-Young is driving away Jung-Soo comes running out and yells for her and she stops the car. Jung-Soo tells her that she wants to come home with her and not to leave her there and Do-Young hugs her. The aunt visits Do-Young’s house and they talk about how Do-Young cannot conceive and that is will be official once her husband comes back from his trip. The aunt then asks for some money because they are family now and she gives it to her. The aunt convinces the uncle that Do-Young should be allowed to adopt her and he does agree.

Do-Young comes and takes Jung-Soo home and shows her the room that she had furnished for her.

The aunt takes Kyung-Hee to visit Jung-Soo and she gets jealous and runs out of the house and she tells her mom that she wishes she was an orphan so that she can be adopted by rich parents. 

Jung-Soo and Do-Young are on the way to pick up her husband and they get into a car accident and this is how the 2nd episode ends.

 

Oh my!! this episode made me so emotional! I did not expect that a beginning of a drama could be this sad! Aren’t they supposed to save it for the end of the drama? I guess if they do it now maybe the ending will be less emotional?? Do-Young is soo sweet with her and I was soo happy when she wanted to adopt her! I was rooting for the 2 of them to end up together. I can understand how Kyung-Hee feels a bit since her parents are not very sensible and everyone in the family is struggling because of them and then they bring in another child how angry she must feel. Then the girl gets to become rich so I understand where she is coming from but doesn’t excuse her behavior or anyone else’s in the family.  As soon as the good things were happening to her I just felt like it is going to come crashing down soon because it is too early in the drama for their to already be a happy ending! then the car crash happened!! and it sucks again for Jung-Soo guessing from the next episode preview!! I am really getting sucked into this drama and I am finding it fun to watch!!

Piece Japanese Drama Episode 2 Summary December 29, 2012

The second episode of Piece starts with Mizuho talking to Haruka’s mother and she is pleading Mizuho to tell her who was the father of Haruka’s baby. She tells Haruka’s mother that it was a misunderstanding.

Mizuho’s childhood flashes on the screen and a young Mizuho is waiting for the bus on a bench. She gets on and realizes she got on the wrong bus and then becomes excited. A man is next to her in black telling her there are 4 types of people, one type that would never board the wrong bus, one that would always board the wrong bus, then there are the ones that after realizing they boarded the wrong bus would quickly change buses and the last ones are the ones that stay on the bus even though they know it is the wrong one just like she is doing. Then the man disappears. Then it flashes to her mother scolding her for staying on the wrong bus and she is saying sorry and they are both crying.
  

It flashes on the screen summer of 2nd Year High School. One of Mizuho’s friend asks what she was doing all summer because her skin is so white. She tells them she was mostly at home. Rumi asks if she went to the beach and she has a flashback of going to the beach with Hikaru and she says she didn’t. They then notice Hikaru with his head on a girls lap and they talk about how he has got another girlfriend. She flashbacks to being kissed by Hikaru, she stands up and says that Hikaru is intensely indecisive and leaves all the girls follow. Hikaru sits up and watches them leave.

Mizuho is at her desk working and Hikaru comes over and tries to talk to her but she ignores him. He asks if something bad happened over the holidays she doesn’t answer and then he tells her that she really can’t play. He then tells her that he may seem diligent and reliable to those around him and she remember telling him that on the bus when he was sleeping. She asks if he was awake at that time and he teases her by reminding her that she was busy.

Mizuho is in the bathroom and they are talking about Megu-chi the friend with the long black hair and that she is dated a boy from prep school and that she might have even done it with him. Megu-chi comes out and tells them that it is all true and that she can’t explain but eventually she had already slept with him. They are walking down the hall and see a first year handing a note to Hikaru.

Mizuho goes to the bus stop and meets Hikaru and she asks about his girl friend and he says he doesn’t have one. She asks him about the first year confessing her love and she tells him to choose carefully. He tells her he doesn’t choose but it is the other person. He tells her that a normal woman doesn’t want him and the minute she figures it out she takes it back. She tells him about the different types of people and he says that she is the type that will carry on despite knowing that she is on the wrong bus. The bus comes and he gets on and asks if she is going to get on or not. She gets on the bus and stands next to him and they hold hands while Matchbox 20’s song Parade plays.

Mizuho and Hikaru go to his house and are in the bedroom and he hugs her. Her phone starts buzzing and it is Remi phoning. Hikaru asks if she is going to answer it and she says she doesn’t want anyone to know she is with him because it will be a permanant blot in her life. He asks why she came with him and sits her on the bed and calls her an idiot. He lies her down and he starts to kiss her and she pushes him off and tells him to stop it. He tries to get back and she pushes and says stop again. He then asks if she doesn’t want him to touch her and she says not really. He starts to leave and she asks where he is going and he says to sleep. 

She walks out and finds him on a couch surrounded by clothes and clutter. She asks  what this  is and he says its a bachelor pad. She asks about his mother and he tells her that his mother leaves in an apartment close to her work. She asks him if he feels lonely living alone and he tells her to leave because they aren’t doing anything. She starts laughing and says he is having a tantrum and he throws pillows at her and she throws them back saying she is hungry.

Mizuho goes to the fridge and there is a lot of food in containers and she asks if he made all of these and he says no, he has a housekeeper. He tells her that the housekeeper is an unsociable old lay Nanao-san and that she used to be a live-in and now she only comes once a week. Mizuho asks if she can have some and the two of them are eating together. She tells him it looks like a kid’s room and that when she was young her room was always messy and that her mom would lose patience and clean it. He says that it is unexpected and that it must have been tidy. She tells him it is tidy now but that she doesn’t think that it matters whether the room is messy or tidy it should be fine as long as you can relax in it. He tells her that he can see her panties and that she is too relaxed. She laughs and then says that this house is comfortable.

She is getting ready to leave and she asks is she could come again. He says sure but to not come on Fridays because they won’t be able to do anything with his housekeeper here. He then says that until then to decide how far she wants to go and then asks if she will complain if it is just kissing. She answers that she understands and that she will make sure to come on a Friday and leaves quickly.

She is walking away and Hikaru comes running after her and he says that he will walk her to the bus because it is getting late. She says that it is like they are on a date or something and then says that he doesn’t have girlfriends though. She thanks him and they stare at each other, she closes her eyes and he just laughs. He tells her that it is payback for before and gives her an air kiss and  Matchbox Twenty song I Will plays in this scene.

Mizuho is rushing to her classroom saying that she forgot about the homework handouts. She opens the door to the class and finds Haruka and they greet each other. She walks about Haruka and sees her cleaning the words creepy and die on Haruka’s desk. Mizuho does her homework and takes some tissues and brings it over to Haruka. Then Mizuho goes back to her own desk and Haruka keeps cleaning.

It is Friday and Remi comes up to Mizuho and asks where she goes every Friday because she can’t reach her on the phone. Mizuho tells her that she goes to a friends to study and then doesn’t answer her phone. Remi asks her if it is a boy and Mizuho says that she does not have a boyfriend angrily. Hikaru laughs and she kicks his seat.

Hikaru is at the bus stop waiting and Mizuho comes out of the bus and he asks why they have to take different buses. She tells him that she doesn’t want anyone from school to find out and to label her as a slut but not  she has done it. Hikaru asks if a girl who doesn’t do that great and who does it help.

They go into his house and she says hello to his housekeeper Nanao-san. Nano-san asks what kind of boys has the girl been seeing? The body remembers very well and that one must treat oneself with care. She answers that she understands as far as someone who cannot take my responsibility is able to understand and that she will be fine.

Hikaru and Mizuho are in his room and he asks how far she is willing to go and she says kiss are okay and nothing more than that are okay. He says to go home and and she holds out her hands and says hug. He then tells her that he can’t tell is she is obstinate or careless and then he gives her a back hug and asks if she is nervous and tells her to relax. She then thinks that this is the first time that she has realized that she has always lived her life with lots of stress on her shoulders to the point she can’t bear it. He then turns her to see him and goes to kiss her and Nanao-san starts vacuuming. They stop and says that it is a mood killer he lies down and tells her to lie down next to him and she does.  He closes his eyes and she turns to look at him and thinks that even though she considers herself to be indifferent, she understands the feelings of those who get themselves in too deep. That she feels a twinge of regret.

Mizuho is walking down the school hall and sees and hears Hikaru and a girl talking and she asks him if she can come over and he tells her that his house is being remodeled. Mizuho walks fast past them and she asks when it will be over and he says he doesn’t know.

Mizuho and Hikaru are in bed and he puts his pillow close to hers and says that lately he has trouble sleeping without her, she smiles and they snuggle together. Mizuho is about to talk to him but realizes he is sleeping. She thinks that that she can’t help but want to be spoiled by Hikaru and she wonders if he will accept everything about her and that is how the second episode ends.

I find this episode very intriguing but it sure didn’t focus on Haruka very much or really go back to the funeral in the present day. It focused more on Hikaru and Mizuho’s relationship that is undefined. I mean Mizuho doesn’t want to allow herself to fall in love with Hikaru because he is a womanizer and she doesn’t want to be just one of the girls in his long line up of women. Hikaru seems really childish just wanting to do be physical with her and test her out like every woman he comes in contact with. He obviously has issues with his mother which means also with other woman almost a self-fulfilling prophecy. His mother left him therefore he will treat woman badly and they will leave him again therefore proving to himself that he was right. Mizuho is smart and doesn’t let him get what he wants all the time because she realizes that she wants to be treated differently and wants to just be around him because she likes him beyond his looks. She is intrigued by not just his looks but who he is and what makes him tick. I am not sure how Haruka is going to be at the center of the story but I guess I will have to keep watching to figure it out!!

To The Beautiful You Episode 2 Summary August 18, 2012

In episode 2 Jae-Hee is in the doctors office and is trying to convince the doctor that she is not a girl and leaves as quick as she can.

 Tae-Joon is talking to his manager and he tells her its okay that he missed his jump and that he didn’t want to always be an athlete. Tae-Joon’s father comes to the school and slaps his face thinking that Tae-Joon missed the jump on purpose and Tae-Joon tells him that he will decide what he does.

Tae-Joon allows Jae-Hee to stay in the dorm room as long as she follows his rules and is aware that he is the owner of the room. Tae-Joon dreams about his mother and her funeral and grabs Jae-Hee’s hand while he sleeps and thinks its his mother.

In the morning Eun-Gyeol and Seung-Ri come in to Jae-Hee’s bathroom and use it in front of her which causes her to freak out.

The dorm sport competition is coming up and Tae-Joon won’t be in the high-jump competition and the winning dorm gets to use the central store which is nicer and the other dorms have to use the store in the annex.

Seol Han-Na is a rhythmic gymnast who wants to marry Tae-Joon and dresses herself up as a present in Tae-Joon’s dorm room she tells Jae-Hee that she is Tae-Joon’s girlfriend.

Jong-Min and Jae-Hee practice running for the competition and Jong-Min trips Jae-Hee and both go tumbling which forces Jae-Hee to the doctors office. Jae-Hee goes and no one is there and hides when Tae-Joon and the doctor comes in and she overhears that Tae-Joon had pain when he jumped. The doctor says he could have Yips Syndrome where all of a sudden he has pain when he plays sports especially when the sport has high psychological pressure and that there is no cure.

Jae-Hee is called out by the doctor and he wants to kick her out of the school and she explains that she came to see Tae-Joon jump again the doctor agrees for the time being. Jae-Hee tries to convince Tae-Joon to keep jumping and that she will do anything for him and he says she has to move out.

Eun-Gyeol finds Jae-Hee moping and tries to cheer her up in a soccer match he wins and takes a picture of them on the ground and his heart starts to beat and sees light around Jae-Hee.

The next day Jae-Hee is stopped by Yang Seoyoon a reporter who wants to do a story on Tae-Joon. Min Hyun-Jae who is another high-jumper in the school went to the doctors office to drop off something he decides to look in Tae-Joon’s file and takes pictures of it. This results in Tae Joon’s records being put online and Tae-Joon’s manager wanting to sue the reporter. Tae-Joon is trying to figure out who did and remembers picking up Jae-Hee’s clothes and finding the reporter’s card in her clothes. Tae-Joon confronts Jae-Hee and asks him if he wanted to be around him to sell information to reporters. Jae-Hee denies it and Tae-Joon leaves the room saying that is a worse answer than expected.

The 34th Jini Althetlics High School Competition is happening and Tae-Joon doesn’t show up for the high jump. Jon-Min hurt himself so he cannot run the marathon so Jae-Hee volunteers herself in his place. Jae-Hee makes it to the first checkpoint where a lot of people drop out because of the pain. The rival orange dorm 3 waits and switches people out throughout the marathon.

 Tae Joon joins his dorm and Eun-Gyeol tells him that since he was gone Jae-Hee had to run the marathon. As Jae-Hee makes it to the final dead-point dorm 3 the orange team, which was switched off kicks Jae-Hee in the leg and she falls to the ground.

 Jae-Hee gets up and keeps running and towards the end catches up with dorm 3 and overtakes him. The doctor watching says his leg is twisted and Jae-Hee falls to the ground, she gets up again and stays ahead and finishes the marathon in first place. Jae-Hee catches up with Tae-Joon and tells him that she didn’t leak it to the press.

Dorm 2 wins the competition and they chant Jae-Hee’s name and lift her in the air because she is the most valued player. Eun Gyeol talks to Jae-Hee and his heart begins to beat again so he leaves. Seol Ha-Na comes to the party looking for Tae- Joon. Tae-Joon eventually comes to the party and takes an alcoholic drink without realizing it and the dorm president explains that Tae-Joon has an allergy to alcohol and goes crazy and kisses the first person he sees. Tae-Joon stumbles around, meets up with Jae-Hee and then kisses her.

Overall I say this was a pretty satisfying episode I mean come on a kiss so early!! lol  it was a cute kiss! I think Eun-Gyeol is also cute especially because he has a crush on Jae-Hee and can’t figure out why. First of all I am so tired of Jong-Min tripping Jae-Hee I mean does no one ever call him on it?? hopefully they won’t keep using this same trick for his character because it is getting old already. I mean they don’t really explain why Jong-Min hates Jae-Hee I think its because he wants to be a prettier boy than Jae-Hee. Another thing is that Tae-Joon wants Jae-Hee to leave the dorm room as a way to do anything for him and then she doesn’t so not sure how that was resolved exactly. They still haven’t disclosed how Tae-Joon even hurt himself in the first place and what exactly is his connection to Ha-Na and why she thinks she is his girlfriend. I guess we will all find out in the next episode!!
