The dramas I have been watching this fall have not been that many! I can’t say I have found many that I felt like watching this fall hopefully there will be more coming my way soon.

The first one that I watched was The Eccentric Daughter-in-Law or Virtual Bride. I mainly wanted to check this one out because Dasom from Sistar was in it and was curious about her acting. It is about a failing kpop girl group member that decides to do a reality tv show about living the daughter-in-law experience and how she would feel actually becoming a real daughter-in-law. The show depicts a few mother in law and daughter in law relationships which all seem pretty rough, I am not sure if there is any out there like that but it seemed pretty brutal. So that created a lot of interesting drama. The production of the drama seemed pretty low budget but yet I found the characters to still be pretty enteraining to watch. The main male lead was a bit different but yet he still grew on me. The ending was kinda meh but overall not a bad drama! Just not a great one either.

The second one that I watched was a korean webdrama Dr Ian where a psychiatrist who specializes in hypnosis treatments helps an office girl that is going through a betrayal and break up and is played by Dara from 2NE1. The episodes are super short and the whole series is short. I always love psychology dramas and it is a bit confusing I think because they tried to fit a story into such a short time frame but I still enjoyed it. I thought it was an interesting story!

The third one I watched was also a webdrama called Girl of 0Am which is about a delusioned singer that becomes in charge of a karoke business and a woman shows up after midnight and helps him with his business and also sets him back on his path with singing. Again kinda confusing of I am still unsure what exactly happened in the end. But still an interesting show!

The fourth one that I am currently watching is She Was Pretty which stars Hwang Jung Eum and Park Seo Joon and they played brother and sister in Kill Me, Heal Me and now they get to play new roles in a different drama which I love. The story is about Jung Eum was a pretty girl from a rich family but then her family went bankrupt and she also lost her beauty. Meanwhile Seo Joon was unattractive with low self-esteem and he grows up to be handsome and successful. They meet in unexpected ways and creates a lot of interesting and painful situations. I have to say I am really am enjoying this drama . I am only half way through but have enjoyed all the circumstances and awkwardness of the drama. I think it is a fun drama and would easily recommend it to watch!!

The Fifth drama that I just barely started is  Sassy Go Go or Cheer Up! I have only watched two episodes but I think it will be an amusing drama! I feel like it is a typical high school drama and all the politics happening within schools. It paints a harsh picture of what school is like for students in Korea. I am not sure if I love Eun Ji in this role. I have liked her before but I find this character a less likable one to me. It is about Eun-Ji a student in charge of a dance club which gets shut down and to win it back she has to create a cheer team and work with other students she dislikes. I am not as excited for this drama as I think I am supposed to be but oh well will probably still watch!

Who Are You? School 2015 Review June 19, 2015

When this drama first came out I was already watching so many that I couldn’t watch it right away. So when some of the other drama ended I started Who Are You. When I first started watching I became obsessed immediately. I had so many episodes to watch at once that I have to say I pretty much binged on them! Which is so sad when you get to the most recent and it is ending in a week. I really suggest watching dramas when they are happening in real time and make yourself wait every week for them. It gives me more closure when it is time for the drama to end. For me this drama has seemed like it was so short because I finished it in like a week or two! I feel I get to emotionally attached if I can binge on them! Anyway if you haven’t watched this drama I suggest you drop everything that you are doing and start watching immediately!photo586461

It has been a while since I actually was so excited by a drama. I mean who doesn’t love twin mystery dramas. I think I haven’t had enough ever since Lindsay Lohan became a twin! LOL. Okay the summary of this drama is that Lee Eun Bi a girl living in a orphanage is being bullied and has a hard life. Lee Eun Byul is her twin that has a mother and is rich and has a wonderful life. Something happens and Lee Eun Bi ends up living Eun Byul’s life. It is the old switcheroo! kinda!Picture 1

There are a few mysteries in this drama that intrigued me for the whole drama! I was always excited to watch the next episode which is not usually the case in most dramas. I would say most dramas taper off at about the 10th episode and it is harder to feel the excitement when watching. Of course the flashbacks get a bit annoying in all dramas but I always skip those parts.

Picture 2

This drama deals with serious issues like bullying that comes in all forms. From other classmates to parents and educators. It tries to deal with the issues that young adults and teens deal with and it gives the drama more depth.

Picture 3

I loved the love interests in this drama and I thought it was well acted. Tae Kwang I loved him with his orange hair and silliness.

Picture 4

Picture 5

I also loved Han Yi-An who was adorable in this drama! Loved him also in surplus princess! Yes he looks like Jung-Shin from CN Blue which helps me like him as well. I loved his big brother and caring ability in this drama.

Picture 6

Overall I really loved this drama, the focus was not completely on love interests but focused on all types of other issues and has intriguing mysteries throughout the drama. I loved it and I think everybody should go watch this drama RIGHT NOW!!

Spring Completed Kdrama Review June 9, 2015

So I think Super Daddy Yeol was a drama that did not get much recognition but I did enjoy the drama. The child actor did a very good job in this drama I was surprised at how well she did in her acting. This was very emotional drama and it played on your heartstrings quite a bit. I can’t say that it was the most satisfying ending but I also wasn’t left anger or the feeling of being upset. With the subject matter I found that their was still a lot of comical and funny parts in this drama. I found it very heartwarming and it was more about family and the happiness which it can provide. I would recommend this drama it was a fun ride!

192

The second drama was The Sensory Couple which was an exhilarating ride. There were so many moments where it got so intense I needed to pause it to catch my breath. I mean people seemed to be very upset with this drama because a lot of things didn’t make sense and sometimes it was just dumb but I still enjoyed this drama. I love a little mystery with my romantic story and this was an excellent mix of a drama. Usually I have no interest in cop dramas but this one felt different because it focused on one crime that they needed to solve and didn’t have like a new crime happening every episode. I felt drawn in and wanted the criminal to be caught so badly. It was a good type of psychological thriller. The love line was not that strong for me and I didn’t quite find it that believable but I still couldn’t stop watching!

maxresdefault

The third was Falling For Innocence and again I don’t think this was as popular of a drama. I personally love the medical mystery type dramas with the heart donor has a personality change from the new heart. I found that this drama was a lot more focused on business and their strategies. I didn’t always seem to follow exactly what was happening with the business end but there was still something charming about this drama that made me want to keep watching. Again their is a mystery that needs to be solved and the ending was a sufficient one so I did enjoy this one but it wasn’t one of my favorites. I was hoping for more a emotional or human side to this story.

index

Lastly there is My Unfortunate Boyfriend. This was a good drama if you just want a feel good story and something that isn’t too intense. I think if you can get past the first two episodes or so the overacting and ridiculousness seems to calm down quite a bit. It was a bit cheesy but I still found it enjoyable and found it still had an interesting storyline that will keep you interested. I also think the ending is interesting but not terribly surprising. Overall kinda predictable and cheesy but still a lot of fun and enjoyable.

That normal parent child relationships argue but she never does and Kyung-Hee says she doesn’t understand those kids who would want to fight that she loves spending time with her. Jung-Soo runs out the house and goes to Kyung-Hee’s house and sees Kyung-Hee making a call alone. The two of them are talking and Jung-Soo is putting it altogether that Kyung-Hee took her letters and was asking her questions. Kyung-Hee tells her that she did it because she hated being poor and was more desperate than she was, that Jung-Soo was happy being poor. Jung-Soo stands up for herself and tells her that she is going to see Do-Young and tell her who the real Jung-Soo is and Kyung-Hee tells her she doesn’t care and to do what she wants. Kyung-Hee tells her that Do-Young’s health isn’t completely recovered yet and she could go into shock. Jung-Soo slaps Kyung-Hee and tells her that she was in so much pain because Kyung-Hee told her that she was unlucky and thought she had caused the car accident. Picture 6

Do-Young is at the hospital with Kyung-Hee and Manager Kang phones her and Do-Young answers. She tells him that Kyung-Hee is in the hospital and that she won’t come to work. Do-Young then looks at Kyung-Hee’s phone and sees Jung-Soo’s name and tries phoning the number but Jung-Soo doesn’t answer. Kyung-Hee wakes up and Do-Young tells her that Kang phoned and then goes to get her food. Kyung-Hee then looks at the calls and sees that Do-Young phoned Jung-Soo. Kyung-Hee takes her phone to the washroom and drops it into the sink with water. Mr. Woo talks to the doctor and he tells him that there is nothing wrong with her heart and that it is psychological. Jin-Hoo visits Jung-Soo’s friend trying to find out where Jung-Soo is and she doesn’t tell him. Manager Kang goes and looks for Jung-Soo at the beach by Do-Young’s house and she is not there. At the office the online public don’t care whether or not Shinhwa stole the design but just the connection has tainted the brand. There is speculation that Shinhwa paid off Red Milano to say the design wasn’t stolen. Director Choi tells Manager Kang that he wants to rebrand Luna and bring in a new concept and that he is thinking of bringing a foreign brand. Jung-Soo’s friend goes to where Jung-Soo is staying and brings her food, Jin-Hoo barges in and sees Jung-Soo. He takes her bag and they both run after him, he then lifts her up and forces her in the car.

Picture 7

As they are driving he holds her hand and says this is the best way to comfort someone and she starts crying. He takes her to his house but pretends to phone a friend in Italy and makes her think that the friend owns the house and is going to be away for the month. He takes her and she falls asleep on the couch, he cooks her a meal and then has to leave to go to the office.

Picture 8

Jung-Soo wakes up and finds a note telling her to go the kitchen and finds a food shaped in a form of a bear, she notices the teddy bear on the chair is wearing her headband that she gave to Jin-Hoo.

Picture 10

At the hospital Kyung-Hee tells Do-Young to go home and Do-Young tells her she told her husband to take her out of work because of stress. Aunt comes to the hospital and tells her Jung-Soo has left home and she doesn’t know what she is going to do. After Jung-Soo is done eating Jin-Hoo left a note saying to solve a problem on the board and she tries but can’t solve it. She gets a delivery with all the necessities she needs to live.  Jin-Hoo, Director Choi, President and Manager Kang are in a meeting and Jin-Hoo doesn’t want to get rid of the Luna project and Director Choi disagrees. Jin-Hoo says he will run the Luna project and Director Choi can do the foreign brand.  Manager Kang and Jin-Hoo meet and Manager Kang says he can’t choose his side because he doesn’t have the security. Jin-Hoo tells him that Jung-Soo is at his house and that he is going to stay at Manager Kang’s house now.

Picture 9

Kyung-Hee going home from the hospital is asked about Eun Jung-Soo name in her phone by Do-Young. She tells her that it was someone that she worked with and just a coincidence it was her name. Jung-Soo then goes to Kyung-Hee’s house and introduces herself as  friend of Kyung-Hee’s to Do-Young. Jung-Soo is taken to Kyung-Hee’s room and Do-Young leaves to get drinks for them.

Picture 11

Kyung-Hee gets on her knees and tells her she was wrong and asks her to forgive her. Jung-Soo tells her that she has thought about how to torment her and has decided that she is not going to tell Do-Young so she should continue living here pretending to be her and calling her parents Uncle and Aunt forever. That she is going to crush her but doesn’t know yet.

Picture 12

Kyung-Hee calls out Jung-Soo as she opens the door and Do-Young is there looking shocked and this is how the 12th episode ends.

Picture 14

I have to say the acting is really believable and well done in this drama! I can feel Kyung-Hee’s fear and Jung-Soo’s anger and sadness. I am a little shocked that Jung-Soo is able to be vengeful with Kyung-Hee but I guess everyone has got their limits. I have a feeling that it is not going to go very well! I mean she won’t have Do-Young hating her because she thinks she is bullying her real daughter. The real truth is going to have to come out sometime!! I do not know about anyone else but it is sexy to have a man cooking for you!! and he even did it in the shape of a cute bear!! I thought Jung-Soo is going to figure out Jin-Hoo lives there I mean she will probably recognize something? and doesn’t he need to pack somethings before he stays at Manager Kang’s house? Oh when he held her hand it was soo sweet!! How can she be so dense and not understand that he loves her? he goes and finds  her and picks her up and forces her to go with him!!  This was just such an awesome episode!! I love seeing the changes in characters, Jung-Soo standing up for herself and Kyung-Hee begging!! I wonder how much Do-Young heard or understands? It will be interesting to see how Kyung-Hee gets out of this situation.

Her Legend Episode 11 Recap/Summary September 12, 2013

The 11th episode starts with Manager Kang asking Kyung-Hee all these questions and Do-Young comes out and Kyung-Hee forces their conversation to end and Kyung-Hee goes in with her. Do-Young thinks that Kyung-Hee is dating Manager Kang and Kyung-Hee corrects her. Aunt comes over and tells Kyung-Hee about Jung-Soo seeing Do-Young. Do-Young overhears a bit of the conversation. Manager Kang meets with Jung-Soo asks her if she knew Kyung-Hee before working with her and she says no because she is protecting Kyung-Hee.

Picture 1

As Aunt leaves Kyung-Hee and they are alone she hugs Aunt crying saying she is scared of what could happen. Aunt reassures her that it won’t happen and that she will stop Jung-Soo from finding her and that she was fated to take Jung-Soo’s position and that she should be good to her adoptive parents so that even if Jung-Soo finds out they won’t be able to kick her out.

Picture 2

Picture 3

Kyung-Hee meets with Manager Kang the next day and he asks her if she is adopted and that the person Jung-Soo is looking for his her mother. She clutches her chest in pain, but is alright she tells him she will tell him everything if he can keep a secret. Kyung-Hee then tells him that because of her health they adopted her and that her mom still thinks that she is the child that she originally tried to adopt. That since Jung-Soo is looking for her mom she could be the child that she originally tried to adopt. She asks Manager Kang to not tell Jung-Soo because if her mom found out she could go into shock and harm her mom.

Picture 4

Uncle comes home and says he got them a job which is to make 100 bags for the day after tomorrow because the business that was supposed to got flooded. If they complete the job they may get more orders from the company. Jin-Hoo goes down to Jung-Soo’s house on his motorcycle because he wants to learn how to make bags from her. Jung-Soo and her family are busy making bags and Jung-Soo puts her uncle in charge of teaching him, and he is not pleased because he wanted her to teach him.

Picture 5

They all work together and then the company phones saying they want to see a sample so Jin-Hoo offers to take Jung-Soo on his motorcycle to the company and the company accepts their samples. Manager Kang phones Jung-Soo to meet him and Jin-Hoo gets jealous and takes off on his motorcycle without her.

Picture 6

Manger Kang and Jung-Soo meet and he tells her that he doesn’t want to tell her because he is afraid she will be more hurt by what he found. She starts crying and wants to know what happened to Do-Young. He tells her that Do-Young adopted someone else who thinks it is her when she came out of the coma. Jung-Soo is just relieved that Do-Young’s health is improving and says she won’t visit her.

Picture 7

Jung-Soo gets driven home by Manager Kang and cries in her room. The next morning her uncle tries to wake her up but she is too sick and gets brought to the hospital.

Picture 8

Kyung-Hee meets Manager Kang at work and tells her that he told Jung-Soo the situation and that he wants her to tell Jung-Soo she was the one that got adopted. She refuses and he tells her that she is very worried about Do-Young. At the hospital she calls out for Do-Young. Jung-Soo leaves the hospital and goes to eat with her uncle and she tells him that Do-Youn from the states tried to contact her. Uncle talks to Aunt and he wants to come clean and she of course refuses. When Aunt is cleaning up she comes across a painting of a young Jung-Soo and decides to take it because Do-Young might be able to recognize Jung-Soo if she saw her. Do-Young’s husband sees her take it and tells his wife and she realizes which painting she took. Kyung-Hee goes over to Jung-Soo’s house and offers to pay for Jung-Soo’s abroad education. Jung-Soo doesn’t really want to go because of the family situation, being a burden, and she feels it is too late. Uncle wants her to go and says she is entitled more than Kyung-Hee to go and use her money.

Picture 9

Kyung-Hee tells the Aunt alone that she needs Jung-Soo out of the country to be able to breathe and the Aunt is worried about her coming back and treating Kyung-Hee differently. Jin-Hoo is doing his math exercises and is also trying to figure out Jung-Soo’s stealing design situation. He writes an email to the press that ShinHwa stole a design. The press goes crazy and they start hounding ShinHwa.

Picture 10

Director Choi instructs that no one say anything to the press and block them. The President has a meeting and is mad at everyone for not being able to control the press. Jin-Hoo speaks to the press and tells them that there has been a false report given to the press and media and that ShinHwa will be pressing charges against these allegations. Kyung-Hee is mad at Jin-Hoo for his actions and he tells him that he knows that we didn’t copy the design and that the fax was manipulated. He is waiting for a reaction from Red Milanoo and Kyung-Hee is insulted and says that their brand is going to be tainted from this no matter what. Jin-Hoo is called in to see the President and Director Choi and is mad that he interfered and he tells them that the design was not stolen and that the truth will come out.

Picture 11

Director Choi has realized what Jin-Hoo did that the truth will come out because he was the one that sent the info to the press so it will come faster but he is disappointed in his actions. Jin-Hoo at home has a math calculation for his plan and is hoping it will work for his company. Red Milanoo releases a statement the next day that the design was never leaked and Jung-Soo finds out when Kyung-Ho puts the tv on. Jung-Soo goes to Kyung-Hee at the company and wants a confession from Kyung-Hee about planning the whole thing and Kyung-Hee doesn’t really answer her questions. Kyung-Hee gets a call that her mom is here and Kyung-Hee sends Jung-Soo out.

Picture 12

As Kyung-Hee and her mom leave the company they pass by Jung-Soo who sees them together and this is how the 11th episode ends.

Picture 13

This episode brought soo much revelation for Jung-Soo! I thought it was genius how Kyung-Hee could manipulate almost every situation for her benefit and the lie she made up to Manager Kang! She is pretty sly but in the end the truth has caught up with her. The truth always comes out!! Jin-Hoo he is so brave in this episode! the way he is on the path to find truth mainly for Jung-Soo. Manager Kang is also on a path of truth for Jung-Soo, but unfortunately he was caught up in Kyung-Hee’s snare and was not able to deliver the full truth to Jung-Soo. I think that is a defining moment for Manager Kang to be out of the running for Jung-Soo’s love. Jin-Hoo is just so much more dedicated to her and when he was helping making bags it was just sooo cute!! His math calculations are also such a cute quirk but I mean he must be a genius to be able to apply those calculations to real life! He was a genius to leak the info to the press because he knew Red Milano would want to clarify the situation for their benefit. Now Jung-Soo will hopefully figured out that Kyung-Hee is Do-Young’s adopted daughter and now she will know the full truth and that will of course make Manager Kang look bad because he said he had met the adopted daughter. I do not really understand why Kyung-Hee is so afraid of the truth coming out? I mean she is pretty old and can stand on her own 2 feet even if they find out. She has a proper education and could get a job on her own and make her own way. She could even move out into an apartment and have separated herself from them or gone back to the States herself. Oh well it is still exciting nonetheless!! I am not sure what Jung-Soo will do now, I mean she knows it is Kyung-Hee so I think she would have less of a problem telling Do-Young the truth because hurting Kyung-Hee would be easier. So maybe in the next episode she will be able to tell Do-Young?

The tenth episode starts with Jin-Hoo telling Manager Kang that he has feelings for Jung-Soo. Manager Kang tells him that he doesn’t have any feelings for her and that what he needed to tell her, he can do it later and that it is not what he thinks. Jin-Hoo tells him that he has Jung-Soo’s phone and that he read the messages and deleted them. He apologizes and Manager Kang does not say much. Jung-Soo and the family discuss that she was fired and they talk about getting new jobs. Picture 1

Jin-Hoo goes back to Jung-Soo’s house and returns the phone and he tells he is hurt that she returned it and she says she will pay him back. He asks her instead to teach him how to make handbags and wants to learn from her because he is embarrassed and she tells him she will think about it. He tells her that he did try to find her after she left the picture to apologize but she wasn’t there. She accepts his apology and says that there must be some way to clear her name.

Picture 2

Jin-Hoo phones Matthew and talks in english and asks him a favor and if he knows anyone from Red Milano. Jung-Soo goes to Shin Hwa and talks to Director Choi and tells him that the fax from Red Milano is a fake and if they trace it back they can confirm it wasn’t their design. He tells her that the design will be ruled out so it is fruitless to try to figure out if it has been copied. She says she came to give him an old article and leaves it with him.

Picture 3

Kyung-Ho is outside protesting that Jung-Soo was falsely accused and the security guards grab him and Jung-Soo finds him at that time and as Kyung-Hee is walking by Kyung-Ho recognizes and runs to the elevator. Kyung-Ho gets taken by the police for disturbing the police.

Picture 4

Kyung-Ho gets let off with a warning. As Jung-Soo is selling bags on the street she sends Manager Kang a text apologizing for letting him down and he answers telling her she did a good job. Kyung-Hee asks how Manager Kang is doing because he noticed that he was looking down and he blew her off. Manager Kang goes to get Jin-Hoo to sign off on doing a survey for rich young men and Kang acts professional and Jin-Hoo tells him to relax but he doesn’t.

Picture 5

Jin-Hoo goes to Jung-Soo’s house and they set a time for when he can come learn how to make purses.

Picture 6

Uncle goes to Shin Hwa group to try to talk Kyung-Hee into helping Jung-Soo. Uncle of course offends Kyung-Hee because she feels he would never go out of his way to help her and feels he would only help Jung-Soo.

Picture 7

She tells him she doesn’t want her in the company and as he is leaving he runs into Director Choi and they look surprised to see each other. They go to his office and it comes out that Director Choi stole his father’s secret book on processing leathers and then soon after the same company he worked for made bags using the same process. Director Choi had been dating Hye-Jung, Jung-Soo’s mother at that time and had used her by stealing the book. The Uncle tells him that he should have pursued Hye-Jung even though his father was not going to allow them to be together.

Picture 9

Director Choi also finds out that Hye-Jung died and then cancels all his appointments for the day and seems upset by this information. Jung-Soo gets hired by a department store and while she is working she hears Do-Young’s name called out and Do-Young going down in an elevator, Jung-Soo tries to find her but is unable to.

Picture 8

Picture 10

Jung-Soo sits outside and cries. Jung-Soo then hurries down the old house where Do-Young lived and finds that someone new has moved into the house. Director Choi has also gone to the same place where Hye-Jung’s ashes were spread and talks about wanting to at least meet up with her once. The aunt is cleaning Kyung-Hee’s house when Kyung-Hee comes home at first she doesn’t want Aunt working there but then decides it will be a good idea because Aunt will try to find out how much Do-Young remembers and help Kyung-Hee. Kyung-Hee then convinces her adoptive dad who is against hiring her.

Picture 11

Manager Kang is driving and Jung-Soo phones him but doesn’t speak so he drives to where she is and finds her by Do-Young’s house.

Picture 12

He takes her to get food and she tells him what happened about finding Do-Young and no one living at the house. He tells her that she believes she never stole the design and is trying to figure out a way to clear her name but it is frustrating. Jin-Hoo gets a call from Matthew and tells him that Red Milano has very tight security and the designs are really hard to get. Do-Young at home tells her husband that a girl at the department store is very familiar and she can’t get her out of her head. Manager Kang takes Jung-Soo home and he tells her that he has a friend who is a private investigator and he can find Do-Young for her. Manager Kang meets with his friend the PI and he is has some information about the Woo’s.

Picture 13

Jung-So tells her Aunt that she found Do-Young and she tries to brush it off but she is actually worried and wants to tell Kyung-Hee.  Jung-Soo tells Manager Kang that she was a former artist and his friend gives him an address and on the address is says Kim Jong-Wook and Woo Do-Young and then Kyung-Hee pulls up. Manager Kang asks her a bunch of questions and she is shocked and this is how the 10th episode ends.

Picture 14

So what will Manager Kang do? will we help Jung-Soo the new girl he is having feelings for or his old flame Kyung-Hee who he seems to still have feelings for? He seems so upright so I think he will have to help Jung-Soo! It looks like Manager Kang is starting to realize that he also has developed some feelings for Jung-Soo but it looks like he is the type of friend that will step aside and let his other friend have happiness. To be fair Jin-Hoo has basically called dibs on Jung-Soo and I mean Jin-Hoo technically met her first? It seems like Jung-Soo finds Kang dependable because he was the one she called to when she was in trouble so she must have some feelings for him. We find out that Director Choi stole Jung-Soo’s grandfather’s secret way to age leather and that is why their family business failure has been Jung-Soo’s mother fault. Her mother should have told Director Choi that she was pregnant, but I guess she wanted him to succeed in the purse business? I wonder if Manager Kang is going to blackmail Kyung-Hee into letting Jung-Soo be rehired if he doesn’t tell her the truth? This series is getting interesting!!
