Her Legend Episode 20 (Final) Recap/Summary October 18, 2013

The 20th and final episode starts with Jin-Hoo calling a shareholder’s meeting and Jin-Hoo wants Director Choi dismissed from his position. Jin-Hoo goes up and tells everyone that Choi has been illegally giving and receiving rebates and in order to receive the rebates he manipulated the sales and embezzled company funds. Jin-Hoo has the evidence and it gets passed to out to everyone. Director Choi defends himself and says that it was necessary for him to do this and if he hadn’t then ShinHwa wouldn’t have made it this far and that the funds were never used for personal use and without the funds the business deals they made wouldn’t have happened. Jin-Hoo tells them that the funds are at a all time low and the Alberto brand was a bust. He pulls out the latest Alberto bag and tells them he bought it at the local market. He tells them that the Alberto line has not met the expected increase in sales so he and Kyung-Hee used the company’s fund by buying the product, resulting in increased sales, and the products being thrown out and some ended up in the market. He then introduces Jung-Soo and she explains she was on the Luna team but was kicked out and the bag she developed has become a success and that it is a brand of ShinHwa and the late President Do helped develop this product. That Joom Chi was what President Do had wanted an independent domestic brand, a brand that can be known worldwide. She asks everyone for their help and then they vote and the majority is in favor of dismissing Director Choi.

Manager Goo tells Kyung-Hee that Director Choi has been dismissed and will be sued for embezzlement and after hearing this Kyung-Hee has another attack and is taken to the hospital.

  Director Choi hears that Kyung-Hee has gone to the hospital and he goes to see her there. Do-Young and her husband come to and the doctor tells them they are going to do a cardiac workup and Director Choi questions why she it was not further investigated earlier. Aunt and Uncle come and Aunt is blaming Do-Young for causing her stress and reveals everything about Kyung-Hee in front of Director Choi. Director Choi goes to see Uncle alone and has figured out that Kyung-Hee is Uncle’s daughter and so then he asks where his niece is then and Uncle doesn’t want to tell him. Jung-Soo comes and she calls out to Uncle and Director Choi figures out that Jung-Soo is the niece and possibly his daughter.

Kyung-Hee is taken past them so they all go to see and Aunt tells everyone to leave because she is going to take care of Kyung-Hee.

Director Choi then recalls his incidents with Jung-Soo and pulls out an old picture of her mother. Jin-Hoo finds Jung-Soo and Jung-Soo asks what will happen to Director Choi and Kyung-Hee and he tells her that the shareholders and the company will prosecute them and after the investigation they will be punished. Jin-Hoo still wonder what kind of person Choi was to keep the secret that he wanted ShinHwa for 30 years. Jung-Soo tells him that is started as a simple secret but as time went by that secrecy turned him into the person he is now and thought it was okay to keep secrets and fool people. Kyung-Hee wakes up in the hospital and finds her mom sleeping there, she gets dressed and takes her car. Aunt wakes up and sees her gone and phones Mr. Woo and he comes down to the hospital, they try her cell but it is in the room. Aunt begs him to find Kyung-Hee because she has a bad feeling. Kyung-Hee is driving and has another heart problem while driving and stops in the traffic.

Director Choi is waiting in his car for Jung-Soo and sees her walking by and he stops her. They sit to talk and she asks if he knows her uncle and mother and he says he does. He asks her if her mom named her and if she knows why and she says that since she didn’t have a father, she took her mom’s last name and that the Jung-Soo is a combo of both her mom and dad’s name. He tells her that the Jung is from Hye-Jung and the Soo is from Choi Soo Ho from his name. He wonders why he couldn’t have figured out that she was his daughter and starts crying and she does as well. She tells him that the day her mom passed away they went to ShinHwa and was supposed to meet someone there and that he was that person. He tells her he saw her then and she asks why he threw them away or even try looking for them. He tells her that her mom threw him away first and told him he was standing in her way and he couldn’t hold onto her and couldn’t give up what he had and didn’t know she existed in this world and then says sorry. She tells him that she never asked about her father because she thought she would when her mom was ready but in the end her mom couldn’t tell her and that she thinks her mom never got over him.

Jung-Soo is with Jin-Hoo and she told him that Choi is her biological father and he is upset because he is always going against her and hurting her. She tells him that even if he knew it was her father he wouldn’t have let it go and that he didn’t do it for his own revenge so he shouldn’t feel sorry.

Director Choi is leaving ShinHwa and shaking hands with his coworkers. He goes and shakes his hands with Jin-Hoo and tells him that he is sorry and that he was wrong and he means it even though he lost. Kyung-Hee is at some sort of nunnery and she confesses her sins. A nun brings Kyung-Hee some food and tells her that when she is suffering she should go to her friends or family because that is why people exist for people to be together when they are suffering.

While Kyung-Hee is sitting on a pew Jung-Soo comes in and finds her and tells her that she came here first even though Aunt and Do-Young both wanted to come. Kyung-Hee tells Jung-Soo that she hated her because even though she was an orphan and should have been crying she was always smiling. Even though she had more than her Jung-Soo was happier with less and that made her mad. She thought that Jung-Soo just had good luck and that it didn’t belong to her so she stole it without feeling guilty. Jung-Soo tells her to stop being evil and selfish and Kyung-Hee tells her that she doesn’t know how anymore. Jung-Soo tells her that she better start learning now and that she needs to make sure she doesn’t make the people who love her suffer.

One month later Jin-Hoo has made Lee Seung Do the leader of ShinHwa. Jung-Soo is the team leader at ShinHwa working with some of her old team from before. Jung-Soo goes to visit Jin-Hoo for lunch and they talk jokingly about engagements. He tells her that Manager Kang is going to see Director Choi soon and that she should go with him and she says he told he is doing fine and that is enough. Jin-Hoo asks why she can’t forgive him and if it because of him and she says it is not. Do-Young is with Kyung-Hee and she asks her if she is going to go back to work at Sae Kyung and Kyung-Hee tells her she doesn’t deserve the position. Do-Young tells her that there is no other person that can take her position and not because she is their daughter but because he needs her and that even though she made a mistake she just needs to recognize them and not repeat it again. Kyung-Hee tells her that she wants her to scold her and punish her because she can’t forgive herself and she doesn’t know why Do-Young forgives her either. Do-Young tells her it is because she is punishing herself that she forgives her and that she believes that mother and children even if they are adopted don’t choose each other and she hugs Kyung-Hee. Manager Kang goes to see Director Choi and he is working in a field. Manager Kang tells him that he is going to be leaving for a couple of years and gives him a letter from Jung-Soo.

Jung-Soo tells him in the letter that she at first resented him and then having a father all of a sudden made her hesitant and she needs some time to be more comfortable. Kyung-Hee and Manager Kang are talking and he tells her that he is going to work at Red Milano now and she asks if they can be friends and that she understands his dream now. They shake on it and he invites her to visit him in Italy and she turns him down because her feelings for him are not completely gone. Jung-Soo goes to Jin-Hoo and hands her resignation letter and tells him she wants to go work at the market again because she is more creative there and they need her there. Jin-Hoo invites her out and Jin-Hoo goes and makes a bag. Jin-Hoo and Jung-Soo go out to eat and at dessert Jung-Soo is looking through her icecream for a ring and Jin-Hoo catches her. He then pretends to do some magic and when she turns back around he has a diamond necklace for her in the shape of a bag.

He then pulls out the bag he made and is embarrassed about how it turned out but Jung-Soo loves it. She starts moving her things to the new bag and Jin-Hoo tries to stop her and tells her not to use it and that he will make a new one.

Jung-Soo goes back to her old office and starts cleaning it when designers start coming for a meeting. She addresses the group and talks about how they are all there to make bags and together they will make a product with passion and love and this is how the final episode ends.

The actual ending was a bit flat! I was expecting more drama between Jung-Soo and Kyung-Hee over Do-Young. I mean there was no ending for Jung-Soo and Do-Young? Did she end up living with Do-Young? was she adopted by her? or was her father now supposed to replace all of that? Did Kyung-Hee change? and was there actually something wrong with her heart? I mean it is kinda weird that Kyung-Hee and Do-Young are talking about being mother and child, I mean she grew up longer in the care of her real parents! I mean she should have been reconciling with them and have a stronger connection with them seeing as her real mother really loves Kyung-Hee and wants the best for her.  I didn’t feel sorry for her at all throughout the series! even when she was crying and sad, she never learned and just kept trying to tear Jung-Soo down. Jung-Soo pretty much rose above all that and was more focused and using the talents that she had and believing in herself. I was fine with the ending of Jung-Soo and Jin-Hoo, they ended up together and seem happy. I thought it was so funny that Jin-Hoo was now the one making the luxury products instead of Jung-Soo making them for him. It is a little weird that Director Choi was working in a field like that is a drastic change of careers! I wonder if his wife was with him because she seemed like she wouldn’t want to move out in the country and have a cut in her expense account? He seemed like a pretty terrible husband to her though! I have enjoyed this drama and thought it was pretty interesting! of course I had more hopes for the ending but it was still satisfying to me and I would have watched again! Thanks everyone for voting on the poll! Ofcourse Jin-Hoo has one the first spot for Jung-Soo’s heart, but I have to say Kyung-Hee to feel pain was only 13 votes away from winning!! I am not sure if Kyung-Hee felt adequate pain in the series to the amount that she caused but she sure squirmed a lot!

Her Legend Episode 19 Recap/Summary October 14, 2013

The 19th episode starts with Jin-Hoo kissing Jung-Soo. Jin-Hoo tells her that he is going to tell Kyung-Hee about them and call the engagement off and Jung-Soo worries about the criticism they will get for calling off the engagement. Jin-Hoo tells her that they deserve the punishment they get for doing it and will still call it off. Jin-Hoo tells her that she is slow because she didn’t know his feelings for her and that he fell for her 8 years ago and just realized now. Jin-Hoo goes to talk to Kyung-Hee and tells her that he is calling off the engagement and she is upset. She tells him that if he does this then she will tell everyone what he as told her and that he planned their engagement to get ahold of her shares. He tells her that he is still calling off the engagement.

At work Manager Kang didn’t come and is instead playing squash and having flashbacks of Jung-Soo. Jung-Soo gets a call from Manager Kang and tells her to go to the park and she goes. Kang hides behind a tree and when he sees her he calls her and tells her that he needs to share his feelings. He tells her that he has started to have feelings for her a while ago but hid them for Jin-Hoo’s sake but now they have gotten to large for him to hold in. She then sees him and he tells her that he hopes to come back tomorrow with a lighter heart.

  Jung-Soo is at Do-Young’s house and she hands Jung-Soo adoption papers and tells her that she wants to be her mother for when she gets married and become a grandmother when Jung-Soo’s has a baby. Kyung-Hee comes home and when she sees Jung-Soo says she has a headache but sees the adoption papers before leaving.

 Kyung-Hee is talking to Jung-Soo in her room and she confronts her about the adoption and tries to convince Jung-Soo to let Jin-Hoo be by her side for his sake at least until the Alberto line comes out. She tells Kyung-Hee that even if she agrees Jin-Hoo won’t. Do-Young is talking to Kyung-Hee and they are talking about the adoption and she asks for the two of them to understand each other especially if Jung-Soo comes to live with them. Kyung-Hee goes to talk to Jin-Hoo and she begs him to help her because she thinks her adoptive parents are going to kick her out, Jin-Hoo refuses to do that to Jung-Soo. Manager Kang comes back to work and they talk about the bag and what needs to be changed. Director Choi gets the news that the engagement is over and comes to the conclusion that Kyung-Hee changed her mind. Aunt comes to visit Kyung-Hee at work and is concerned about the breaking of the engagement and she tells her not to worry and just to leave her alone. Kyung-Hee talks to her adoptive parents about the break up and she just agrees with them that she rushed into it.

Kyung-Hee and Jung-Soo are both getting ready for the launch of the line. Jung-Soo isn’t having a runway and is going with the concept of house party. Jung-Soo asks Manager Kang if he is going to New York after the launch because of her and he tells her that he has some unfinished business in New York and needs to do it before it is too late. 

Jin-Hoo picks up Jung-Soo and takes her to a clothing shop and buys her an outfit for the launch party.

Manager Goo gives Ah-Ra the address of where Jung-Soo’s launch party is happening. Jung-Soo finds out that the place they were going to have their launch was booked and they can’t use it now. At the office Jung-Soo decides they will have to look for a new date and location and then Jin-Hoo comes in and tells them they have booked a hotel for them because he had some connections. Just as they are going to phone everyone about the changes Ah-Ra phones her and tells her that Kyung-Hee was behind them losing their location for the launch show. Jung-Soo then tells everyone to send their models to the same place ShinHwa’s launch show is. ShinHwa has their launch show and as soon as it is over everyone leaves because they hear another launch show is happening.

Everyone goes down to check out Jung-Soo’s show and it is happening outside the hotel. 

In the news the Alberto brand looks bad because the Joom Chi brand was domestic and not international like Alberto. Jung-Soo and Manager Kang go to Charlotte store and find out that they were chosen to launch their line of purses. The two of them celebrate when they are alone. Jin-Hoo takes Jung-Soo and surprises her with a cake made of one of her purses to celebrate her getting the purses in Charlotte store.

She hugs him and he asks why she is being like that and she says it is because she can’t do anything for him and he tells her not to worry and that he has not given up on the shareholder’s meeting. Jin-Hoo goes and talks to different people and he tells them he wants to make their own domestic line of purses as a brand. Kyung-Hee gets the news that the Alberto brand is not doing well in stores and they think that the reason is that the consumers are looking less at the brand and more at a new product and quality. Kyung-Hee gets a call from Spain and the man is upset the product isn’t doing well. Kyung-Hee then calls Director Choi and goes to speak to him and she tells him that she is his daughter but just didn’t tell him because she resented him and he apologizes for not knowing that she is his daugher.

Do-Young tells Director Choi’s wife all about the switch up with Kyung-Hee and Jung-Soo. Kyung-Hee then asks him for a favor to manipulate the sales of the Alberto brand to do that she needs the product to stop circulating in the market and she will take care of it and he agrees. The Director of the Charlotte store received the Alberto shipment and then returned it. Jin-Hoo receives a package and it contains the account of Director Choi, and Jin-Hoo calls Lawyer Shin. Lawyer Shin meets him and he shows him the account and tells him that they are illegal transactions. The driver of the shipment takes the boxes of bags out and is going to burn them but then stops. In the stores a woman asking a sale clerk about something and is shown the Alberto product that should have been burnt. At work Manager Goo tells Kyung-Hee that the President has ordered someone to have the products recalled because the Alberto bag is being circulated in the market and is 100% authentic.

Jin-Hoo calls Lawyer Shin and tells him to set up the shareholder’s meeting right away. Kyung-Hee goes to see Director Choi and she tells him about the rumors of Alberto bag being circulated and Director Choi wonders if Jin-Hoo has caught on and that is why he is calling a shareholder’s meeting. He tells her to deny anything to the Alberto company and reassures her that he won’t let anything happen to him or her because she is his daughter. Jin-Hoo and Lawyer Shin go through the account and makes a presentation from it for the board meeting. Jin-Hoo meets Director Choi before going into the meeting and Director Choi puts him down and Jin-Hoo tells him that he is protecting ShinHwa.

So how many fathers does Kyung-Hee need? 3? isn’t that a bit excessive!! Wow she know how to manipulate people! but I wished that his wife would have told him sooner so that the plan wouldn’t work for Kyung-Hee. I mean I think Director Choi is the most suitable father for her out of the three because he is just as ruthless as her. It was really dumb of her to sabotage Jung-Soo’s launch party because she fought back and now Kyung-Hee’s Alberto line is failing! I wonder who is helping Jin-Hoo by sending him those spending accounts? One of the board members? Jung-Soo and Jin-Hoo are finally together for an episode but we don’t get to see too much of them because they are soo busy. The cake he bought for her was really cute. Poor Manager Kang he declared his love for her but it was in a really cute way! I mean he didn’t make her feel as burdened because he didn’t do it face-to-face but he still gave her the option to share her feelings about him which she didn’t do but I thought it was considerate. The actual business side of things I do not always know what is going on and how they could even manipulate the numbers? I mean they won’t have the money to show for the bags being bought if they are not being circulated? I don’t quite understand that but I am very interested to see what Jin-Hoo and Lawyer Shin have figured out about Director Choi!

Her Legend Episode 18 Recap/Summary October 12, 2013

The 18th episode starts with Jin-Hoo asking Kyung-Hee to get engaged and she agrees that they will get engaged and at a different time they will break off the engagement. At work Jung-Soo and her team are concerned because Alberto’s launch date is the same date as theirs and no one will come to launch party. They decide to keep the date and decide to offer the main product before they launch and invite famous bloggers and those on social media to review their product.

Do-Young goes to Jung-Soo workplace and takes her out and asks her if she would come live with her. Jung-Soo tells her that she is comfortable where she is and Do-Young figures out that it is because of Kyung-Hee and she tells her that she doesn’t know what to do with her. She tells her that she hates Kyung-Hee for doing that to Jung-Soo but still loves her because they lived as family for 8 years. Jung-Soo reassures her that she is happy to just be with Do-Young now and doesn’t need anything for her. Do-Young and her husband sit Kyung-Hee down and discuss the situation with her and tells her they can’t keep living like this. Kyung-Hee gets on her knees and says she can’t bring herself to apologize because what she did was so awful. Do-Young asks why she did it and she says because she wanted to be able to study anything and her mom persuaded her and then she keeps apologizing. She tells them even though she fooled them her love for them wasn’t a lie and that is why the 8 years was so hard for her too and Do-Young agrees with her and tells her she hates her but inside her heart she is still her daughter. Kyung-Hee then tells them that her and Jin-Hoo is engaged and she asks that until she gets married she would like to stay by their side.

Jin-Hoo has flashbacks of Jung-Soo. Manger Kang phones Jung-Soo about bringing food and they get cut off. The phone rings again and she thinks it is Kang but then realizes it is Jin-Hoo and he tells her drunkenly that he hates her but there is no reason to hate her because they never did anything together. He walks into her building and is says he needs something to hold onto to survive and runs up and kisses her.

Manager Kang comes and sees them kissing and he drops the food and runs out. Later Jung-Soo asks if he is okay because he drank so much and he asks her one more time if she did not feel anything when they broke up and she doesn’t answer. He says thanks and that it would have been hard if she had changed her mind but then doesn’t tell her what he means. He goes home and cries and she stays at work and cries. Kyung-Hee and Jin-Hoo are getting their picture taken and having an interview. They bug him because he doesn’t smile much or say much.

Director Choi is updated on the situation and figures that Jin-Hoo is after the shares from Sae Kyung company that come with Kyung-Hee and figures that will get him up to 35% of the shares which won’t be enough to stop Choi. Director Choi calls Kyung-Hee to ask about her engagement and shares and she refuses to tell him. He then tells her that she is his daughter and Kyung-Hee tells him that she is not and that she has seen her father and he is not him. At work they notice Jung-Soo isn’t looking well and Kang tells her that he had something urgent come up and couldn’t come. Jung-Soo gets a call from Kyung-Hee and they meet and she tells her that she is getting engaged with Jin-Hoo. Jung-Soo is shocked and tells her to keep Jin-Hoo out of her plans and Kyung-Hee tells her that Jin-Hoo proposed to her first.

Jung-Soo’s friend sees the article and comes running to her office and Kang finds out. Kyung-Hee goes to her parent’s house to tell them she is getting engaged and tells them that they won’t need to come because it doesn’t make sense to have 2 sets of parents. Jin-Hoo comes home and finds Jung-Soo waiting and she asks if the engagement is revenge on her and she tries to warn him about being fooled by her. Jin-Hoo asks how Kyung-Hee is different from her and that he won’t have to worry about her stabbing him in the back like Jung-Soo did. Jung-Soo asks about his feelings and he tells her that he is going to Kyung-Hee and then they part ways.

They both go and cry Jung-Soo thinks that she thought things could go back if she worked hard and became a person that could help him and she thought he would wait for her. Manager Kang goes to Jin-Hoo’s house and confronts him about the engagement and Jung-Soo and Jin-Hoo doesn’t respond and then Kang punches him. Jin-Hoo thanks him for kicking his butt because he thought he needed it. Kang tells him that he is not going to follow Jin-Hoo’s request to not develop feelings for Jung-Soo because he can’t stand to see her hurting.

The president of the company that got Jung-Soo in trouble goes to Kyung-Hee and tells her that Dae-Poong keeps badgering him and she sends him out saying she is going to take care of it. Jin-Hoo comes in and asks about it but doesn’t get the explanation. Jung-Soo gets a call saying that the factory they were going to use isn’t going to make their samples so she goes to the factory and Kang goes with her. Do-Young gets sick. Jung-Soo gets a call from her uncle and is told that he found a factory, she tells Kang and they high-five, Jin-Hoo is watching from his car. Do-Young has a fever and her husband calls the doctor and she takes her medicine. Do-Young asks him to call Jung-Soo over for her. Kyung-Hee goes home and is shocked to see Jung-Soo there and she tries to take over but Do-Young stops her. Do-Young asks Jung-Soo to stay over and she says she can sleep next to her if she wants.

Jung-Soo lies down with Do-Young and is asked to tell her about the past and what they did together. Kyung-Hee goes into the room at night and sees them sleeping together. The next morning Kyung-Hee offers to drive Jung-Soo and then confronts her if this is the revenge she was talking about and Jung-Soo just calls her shameless for not leaving after everything was revealed.

Director Choi talks to his assistant and they talk about how every share is important and they want to figure out where all Jin-Hoo’s shares are from. Director Choi then calls in Lawyer Shin and he fires him even though he betrayed President Do for him. As Lawyer Shin is leaving he sees Jin-Hoo and goes to talk to him. Shin tells him that his grandfather had shares which were secretly veiled, that there is a small business named Joon Chi that was secretly set up when Luna disbanded and that it has shares of the Shin Hwa group. he then tells her about the contract Jung-Soo made with his grandfather, that she was going to take her designs and show that she could successfully launch it and by doing that she will prove to Jin-Hoo that it wasn’t a failure. She then agreed not to see Jin-Hoo until she succeeded.

Jin-Hoo then goes running out of the room and bursts into Jung-Soo’s office. He tries to grab her and take her but Manager Kang stops him and Jin-Hoo then pushes through. He drives her away and then takes her out and asks why she would make that contract with his grandfather and make him helpless. She then asks why he leak the information about the stolen design and keep the Luna team for her. He then grabs and hugs her saying that he was wrong and she starts crying. He tells her that there is no more installments and that he wants a full payment and then kisses her and this is how the 18th episode ends.

Wow 2 kisses in one episode I think this has reached the climax of the drama!! and I was pleasantly surprised that they actually looked like they were kissing each other and enjoying it! They will actually making out for their first kiss!! I was wondering how long they were going to be apart because their wasn’t too many episodes left for them to be together! I thought it was interesting when Do-Young was reflecting on the 2 different relationships with the girls it shows that Jung-Soo is selfless because she was just happy to have Do-Young better and in Korea and meanwhile Kyung-Hee is begging to live their with them and doesn’t really know how to make a real connection with Do-Young. Finally we get to understand why she wanted the design rights! and I think it is pretty sweet that she was doing all that for Jin-Hoo to be able to be with her and then he goes and gets engaged! how devastating! but I mean she should have just told him when the President died because I mean the contract isn’t really there anymore and she should have gone to comfort him! I think that would have been the best thing she could have done for him because he is all alone! I wonder what diabolical plan Kyung-Hee has for the engagement with Jin-Hoo? Is she going to somehow force him to marry her even though they plan on eventually calling off the engagement? and poor Manger Kang barely gets to even put the moves on Jung-Soo before everything is revealed to Jin-Hoo and they make up!! Sorry this recap is so late! I will keep working on the next ones !!

Her Legend Episode 17 Recap/Summary October 3, 2013

The 17th episode starts with Do-Young finding Jung-Soo and they cry and hug together. Do-Young asks if she resented her and Jung-Soo tells her that she didn’t and she was just happy that she was okay and came back to Korea. Jung-Soo tells her about the promise and Do-Young tells her that she will never let go of her hand again. They go to the beach and she tells her about coming to the house and leaving notes and they talk about old memories.

Do-Young comes home and Kyung-Hee is making supper very cheerily. They sit down to eat and Kyung-Hee pours them a glass of wine and tells them that she loves salmon steak because Mr. Woo made it for them when she got into college and that it was her favorite meal.

They start to eat and Do-Young gets up and leaves Kyung-Hee pretends she doesn’t know why and lets Mr. Woo go to her and Kyung-Hee eats while crying. Do-Young thinks that Kyung-Hee knows that they know and is trying to put in effort and Mr. Woo says they should wait for Kyung-Hee to say something first. Jung-Soo is pricing some materials and she with the other market designers discuss making their own luxury brand if they use quality materials. Jin-Hoo meets Director Choi at work and asks how his grandpa is doing and he tells him that he is getting better and will come back soon. Director Choi says that is good because he thought he would have to recommend an acting president. Kyung-Hee goes to see Manager Kang and asks him why he has to take responsibility for the factory management. He tells her that they want him to leave because he betrayed Director Choi. Kyung-Hee gets mad at him and tells him that she broke up with him because he has no dreams or ambitions. She tells him that she knew about the offer from Red Milano and that he should have took it for himself and there was a lot of ways that he could have paid back Director Choi. He tells her that they have different dreams and that she couldn’t see his and that she is the one without a dream because all she has is useless desires.

Jung-Soo goes to eat and gets an omelet rice which makes her remember when Jin-Hoo made it for her and she starts crying. Uncle goes to visit Kyung-Hee and tells her to come home because Do-Young and her husband know everything and she tells him she will only leave when they kick her out. Director Choi sees Uncle leaving and tells his assistant to find out who he was visiting and comes back and tells her it was Kyung-Hee. Manager Kang comes and gives Director Choi his resignation. Jin-Hoo is with his grandfather and he still has not awakened. Jung-Soo, Uncle, and Shim Min-Kyung a young designer from the market have opened up their own business. Manager Kang comes and gets introduced when he is alone with Jung-Soo he tells her he resigned and that he would like to come work for her for free. He tells her that Jin-Hoo is having a hard time because his grandfather has gotten worse. The assistant tells Director Choi that Kyung-Hee is adopted and that she is the niece to Uncle because his sister died of a brain tumor. Director Choi orders Kyung-Hee to his office and at the same time his wife is there and when Kyung-Hee gets there she makes them all go out to eat together.

Jung-Soo and Do-Young are out eating together and Do-Young asks how her business is going and asks if she needs help. Jung-Soo tells her that when she needs help she will ask just the way she taught her. Director Choi and his wife and Kyung-Hee go the same restaurant and they all sit together. Kyung-Hee explains that Jung-Soo also worked at Shin Hwa and Jung-Soo explains that she was Kyung-Hee’s classmate and that is why Do-Young is out with her. Director Choi asks questions about Kyung-Hee. Jung-Soo and Do-Young leave the restaurant early.

Aunt is outside Do-Young’s house and Do-Young comes home and Aunt tries to plead with her to listen and Do-Young walks away. Aunt sits outside the house and Kyung-Hee comes home, she tries to persuade Aunt to leave but she won’t. Aunt tells her to blame the whole thing on her, to tell them that she was the one who forced her to go and that she didn’t want to but had no choice.

Do-Young at home remembers when Kyung-Hee put in a lot of effort and rubbed her legs. Mr. Woo asks her what she would think if they sent Kyung-Hee to the American branch so they don’t have to kick her out. Kyung-Hee comes home tipsy and goes to bed and cries. Director Choi is meeting with Kyung-Hee and tells her about her birth mother sending him the book on how to process fabrics and that it is a misunderstanding between him and Uncle. He asks her if she has heard anything from her father. Kyung-Hee goes to Aunt and Uncle and asks them if they know Director Choi and they tell her that he had a relationship with Jung-Soo’s mom but in the end he stole the book. Kyung-Hee then figures out that Director Choi is Jung-Soo’s father and she says she can’t let this happen when she is alone. Jung-Soo goes to her work and tells them that Charlotte the department store is looking for a popup store for the fall and winter season and that is is a great opportunity for them. So they decide that they are going to try to get their brand in the store.

Manager Kang gets a call from Jin-Hoo saying that his grandfather is in critical condition so he runs down to the hospital. When he gets there the doctors are trying to save the President and they have to use the defibrillator but they can’t get his heart beat back and he dies.

 Manager Kang texts Jung-Soo the news and she is shocked. The President’s funeral happens.

Manager Kang drives Jin-Hoo home and Jung-Soo is hiding in the bushes but isn’t seen by Jin-Hoo and she starts crying. Jin-Hoo packs a bag and puts the giant teddybear in the trash. Jin-Hoo goes outside and has flashbacks where Director Choi took him fishing and he asked him to be his father. Jin-Hoo goes to work and he remember a couple of men telling Jin-Hoo that they support him as the president. Jin-Hoo and everyone goes to the meeting to appoint the new President and almost everyone votes Director Choi and a couple of men that don’t raise there hand eventually raise it.

Jin-Hoo storms out and meets Kyung-Hee and asks if the engagement deal is on the table and she tells him yes and he tells her that they should get engaged and this is how the 17th episode ends.

So Director Choi has finally figured out that he has a daughter!! but now he will think it is Kyung-Hee! ugh and Kyung-Hee will try to hide the truth from her again! It is pretty exciting that Jung-Soo is starting her own company and that Manager Kang is joining them! I thought that maybe Jin-Hoo will be joining them now that he was not allowed to be President! but now he wants to get engaged with Kyung-Hee! I am not sure how that is going to help? The board members would want this to happen and make him president because he is making connections between the 2 companies? I am so happy that Jung-Soo and Do-Young have been reunited! I have been waiting for that to happen for so many episodes!! but they do not know what to do with Kyung-Hee! I mean couldn’t they just get an apartment for her or something? Thanks everyone for voting! lol it seems like Jin-Hoo and Jung-Soo ending up together is the most wanted, but I have to say Kyung-Hee feeling pain has a strong number of votes as well!!

Her Legend Episode 16 Recap/Summary September 26, 2013

The 16th episode starts with Jung-Soo rejecting Jin-Hoo. Manager Kang gets a call that the President collapsed and that he has to go get Jin-Hoo. Jin-Hoo has been drinking and Manager Kang wakes him up and gets him to the hospital. Director Choi is there and tells them that President’s blood pressure hasn’t been good and he collapsed at dawn and that his health has had a turn for the worse. He tells him that President has passed the critical stage.

Director Choi tells Kyung-Hee and Manager Kang that they want to disband the Luna team and Kyung-Hee agrees but thinks the timing isn’t good. Manager Kang also doesn’t think that they should disband Luna right now and when Kyung-Hee leaves Director Choi scolds him for trying to interfere with his managing. Director Choi tells him that he needs to choose between people and the company. Manager Kang tells him that he has known him for a long time and that remembers him saying that the people change the company and therefore will choose the people over the company. Jin-Hoo is with the President and he wakes up and Jin-Hoo promises that he won’t cause him anymore grief and that he will work hard and even go to arranged meetings. President wants to record it and Jin-Hoo reassures him and gives him his word. Jung-Soo is with her friend and she is trying to figure out why people like knockoffs and her friend explains that people want to seem luxurious even if they can’t afford it.

Kyung-Hee goes to President and they are talking about Jin-Hoo and he tells her he was really hard on him when he was young. He didn’t condone him being childish and punished him on purpose. He tells her to be patient and wait for him and she asks if she can call him grandfather and he agrees and calls her by her name.

Jin-Hoo comes in and he walks her out and she tells him about Director  Choi disbanding Luna and that he shouldn’t be so cold to her because he might need her help someday. Do-Young and her husband are told by their lawyer that the Jung-Soo Mr. Woo saw earlier is the niece to Uncle. The lawyer tells him that Jung-Soo’s mom died of brain cancer 17 years ago and she was a singer and after she passed Jung-Soo went to live with Uncle. The lawyer tells them that Uncle only had one niece and that Seo-Hyun(Kyung-Hee) social security number is under the name Kyung-Hee and is Uncle’s biological daughter. Mr. Woo figures that Kyung-Hee wasn’t Uncle’s niece but his biological daughter and Do-Young comes in overhearing this. Do-Young thinks that it could be a mistake and they both get confused trying to figure it out. Kyung-Hee comes home and Do-Young is shocked and leaves the room, Mr. Woo tells her that she isn’t feeling well and that she is going to bed.

The next morning Do-Young acts coldly to Kyung-Hee.  Kyung-Hee meets with Jung-Soo and asks if she had met with her adoptive parents and she says no and makes fun of her being so anxious. Jung-Soo asks if she set up President Bae and she won’t admit to anything. Jung-Soo is on the search to figure out what a luxury good is and talks to the ladies at the market. Jung-Soo goes to her Uncle and tells him that she wants him to help her by making a quality bag. She wants to change the Dong Dae Mun market and make a luxury bag.

Jung-Soo leaves and as she is walking down the stairs her shoe comes off and it reminds her of when Jin-Hoo picked up her shoe for her. Do-Young is watching Aunt clean and she gives her, her month’s pay and tells her that she is needed anymore.

Do-Young sees her art gallery booklet and remembers Jung-Soo and recalls that she called herself Kyung-Hee and starts crying. Mr. Woo is with Uncle and he asks about seeing Jung-Soo at house not that long ago and Uncle starts crying. He gets on his knees and tells him that Seo-Hyun is not Jung-Soo but she is her daughter. That in a moment of greed he did something unforgivable and asks for forgiveness. Mr. Woo decides that for now they won’t say anything because his wife needs time to deal with it and for him not to tell Aunt.

Manager Kang is with Jin-Hoo and Jin-Hoo is going to stop rebelling and Kang asks why he won’t trust Jung-Soo. Manager Kang tells him that Jung-Soo didn’t come to the company for revenge on Kyung-Hee. Jin-Hoo tells him that she chose the design rights over him and that she requested it, and that he is scared of her now and isn’t the Jung-Soo that he knows. Manager Kang finds Jung-Soo and he asks why she hasn’t told Jung-Soo the truth and she says she gave it shot to be with him but that her feelings weren’t sincere. Manager Kang says he doesn’t believe her and knows she is hurting, he tells her that President collapsed and Jin-Hoo is having a hard time coping. The President is rushed into surgery and Kang and Choi are there and Choi tells Kang that he is the only one he chose and not to forget that. Earlier the two of them were with the President and the President chose to give him his shares and transfer the management rights over to him. Director Choi protests and says that he was recruited to the company 30 years ago and 2nd to him was President’s son and he never put in a full effort because he was his son. He was sad when President’s son passed away but was relieved because he thought he had the chance of getting the company and now is upset that it will be passed to Jin-Hoo in the end

The President is shocked by all of this and collapses and goes into surgery. Jin-Hoo comes and Director Choi reassures Jin-Hoo it will be alright. Manager Kang goes drinking. The surgery is over and Director Choi and Jin-Hoo go in to see President and the doctor tells him that the surgery went well and to wait for a while for him to wake up.

Manager Kang texts Jin-Hoo to not trust Director Choi too much. Kyung-Hee goes home and Mr. Woo tells his wife about Kyung-Hee not being Jung-Soo and she is really upset and is sad that she was so mean to the real Jung-Soo.

Kyung-Hee hears everything outside their door and she goes to her own room and cries. Manager Kang tells Jin-Hoo about Director Choi trying to take over the company and Jin-Hoo is very upset that Choi his father’s friend would do that to him and starts crying and Manager Kang stops him from storming out.

Kyung-Hee goes to work early and she phones Manager Goo to move up the launching date for Alberto. Director Choi tries to see the President and is stopped by bodyguards and Jin-Hoo comes saying they are there to keep Director Choi out. Manager Kang is scolded by Director Choi for betraying him and Manager Kang tells him that he betrayed himself. Manager Kang gives Jin-Hoo advice to get more shares to stop Director Choi from getting into power and suggests he get Kyung-Hee to help him by getting her shares. Jung-Soo goes to the hospital trying to find out information on President and Jin-Hoo catches her. She tells him she thought he might have collapsed because of her and he tells that he did not so she can go back and not worry.

Jin-Hoo and Kyung-Hee talk and he asks for help and she wants instead to get engaged but not to marry. She tells him that it will be a huge threat for his opponent and she believes it will be her last chance at survival. Do-Young is waiting in the car with the lawyer for Jung-Soo and she walks by and Do-Young calls out to her. She tells her it is her Do-Young and Jung-Soo asks if she recognizes her and they both start crying and this is how the 15th episode ends.

The truth is finally out!! I am surprised that Do-Young is so disgusted of Kyung-Hee and that she doesn’t feel like she was more of a daughter to her! It felt good when Do-Young was sad that she hurt Jung-Soo’s feelings! I cannot wait for the next episode to see them reunited again!! I love that Manager Kang does the right thing and helps his friend! I guess Director Choi was trying to say to Kang was that with Jin-Hoo out of the picture and Choi in charge he would potentially leave the company to him when he retires. I love that Manager Kang is trying to help Jin-Hoo and Jung-Soo work out their problems!! I am not sure how it will help Kyung-Hee to be engaged with Jin-Hoo? I guess then Mr. Woo won’t be able to kick her out of his company because their relationship will be beneficial for him??  I was also thinking with the President out of the picture then Jung-Soo and Jin-Hoo could see each other again?

Her Legend Episode 15 Recap/Summary September 25, 2013

 

The 15th episode starts with Jin-Hoo being frustrated about what he had said to Jung-Soo. Jung-Soo goes back to the office and works and ends ups staying the night. She meets Jin-Hoo at work trying to avoid her and she tells him that she will forget what he said to her yesterday because it doesn’t make sense for him to like her and he tells her that no one needs a reason to like someone and gets mad and walks away. Kyung-Hee had overhead the conversation and then runs into Jung-Soo and she asks if he confessed to her and she refuses to tell. They have a talk and Kyung-Hee tells her that she has never won against her and that it will continue like that so she shouldn’t go against her. Kyung-Hee asks why Do-Young has to be hers and that she has been loved for the last 8 years by them. Jung-Soo tells her that Do-Young was not a lottery ticket that she was searching for, for 18 years instead she was someone that her mother gave to her. Kyung-Hee tells her that she has worked hard and cried as much as her and that even if they found out she was fake they would still love her. Jin-Hoo has chosen her but Kyung-Hee is going to work hard to win him. Jung-Soo is tearing and tells her to to mistake her greed for hard work, that she got Do-Young through deception and manipulation. Kyung-Hee tries to hit her and Jung-Soo catches her hand and tells her that she has already lost to her.

Jung-Soo can’t find her design book and they get a call from  the sample studio so Jung-Soo goes down there and Dae-Poong is looking through her designs and is impressed. He shows her the fabric that he has made and asks her to get the sample so they can make it. He tells her that it was all thanks to JIn-Hoo because he brought her design books to him to prove to him that they had good designs by Jung-Soo.

Kyung-Hee is told about Dae-Poong making Jung-Soo’s designs. Jung-Soo goes frantically around looking for Jin-Hoo and tries phoning him but gets no answer. As she is walking up the stairs she loses her shoe and Jin-Hoo is walking up and picks it up, goes to her, wipes her foot and puts her shoe back on for her as she protests.

Aunt is talking to Uncle on the phone and tells him that Kyung-Hee’s adoptive father wants to come see him and she tells him to hurry come home. Jung-Soo is talking to Kyung-Ho and he tells her that no one is home so she goes inside her Aunt’s house. Aunt is home and tries to make her feel bad and Jung-Soo gets some clothing and on the way out she meets Do-Young’s husband and he picks up her work badge and sees that her name is Jung-Soo.

He visits the Aunt to see how she is doing and almost asks about Jung-Soo and then leaves it . Jung-Soo goes to see Jin-Hoo and she tells him that she was wrong earlier and wants to do the installment plan. He gets mad and thinks she is not doing it for the right reasons and not using her feelings. He goes to her and hugs her, Jung-Soo is shocked and then Manager Kang knocks on the door and Jung-Soo pushes him off and runs out.

Do-Young is sleeping and she remembers when Jung-Soo dropped the honey and Aunt gets mad and slaps her. Do-Young wakes up Aunt is there and Do-Young is shocked. Do-Young then asks questions about Kyung-Hee when she was little and is trying to figure out the Aunt feels about Kyung-Hee. Do-Young’s husband is with the lawyer and is looking into Kyung-Hee’s papers and he tells them that on the registry she is called Kyung-Hee but they changed her name and called her Jung-Soo. In the office Jung-Soo tells him that the sample should be done tonight and then he texts her to go for dinner and she says she can’t and he gets mad. Ah-Ra figures out they are texting each other and so they both deny it and Jung-Soo goes to check on the sample. Dae-Poong is working the sample but he has shaky hands and is no far along, and he says he had a little bit of soju. He cuts his hand and she tries to help him but he keeps working and then starts crying and saying he can’t do it and then he gives her a number and address of someone else that can make it for her.

The man agrees to do it and they work on it all night. 

The showcase for the two designs is about to start and Jung-Soo isn’t there. Jin-Hoo goes to see Dae-Poong and he says he already gave her the sample model. Jung-Soo gets there just as the showcase is starting and then both teams present their work. Kyung-Hee’s team did a python leather and it is a part of the Rosa line. 

Jung-Soo presents their embroidery leather purse and the purpose was to take away from the cold look of leather. 

The majority of the people judging the purses liked Kyung-Hee’s Alberto design but they still have to get the internet evaluation. Kyung-Hee’s team has champagne to celebrate. Jin-Hoo tries to question Jung-Soo about where she has been and she tells him that she will tell him later and he lets it go. In the internet evaluation both bags get the same number of votes. Kyung-Hee is on the phone and tells them that if the internet results are flipped that they have no choice but to use this route. All the street markets are carrying Jung-Soo’s design of purse and Jung-Soo and Jin-Hoo are in a meeting and are told that it has been leaked. Jung-Soo then leaves and runs to the factory where the man made their purse and no one is there, she then goes to the police station and the man is there and he tells her that she should have told him that it was a sample bag. He tells the cops that the woman brought the design and asked him to have it out in the markets within a week, and if he did she told him she would give him money. Jung-Soo believes that President Bae was set up and that she wasn’t the one who ordered him to do that. The cop asks her why a big company would get a small factory to make their sample and she tells him the truth. Kyung-Hee and Jin-Hoo are in a meeting and they are saying that Jung-Soo leaked the design and that the company will demand compensation for damages and it will be difficult for her to evade prosecution. Kyung-Hee talks to Jin-Hoo and she tells him that her and Jung-Soo are cousins and that she wants to exact her revenge on Kyung-Hee and that she had planned meeting him and coming to this company. 

Jin-Hoo picks up Jung-Soo from the station and scolds her always doing the things they way she wants and doesn’t think about herself and instead of others. Kyung-Hee goes to the President and tells him that Jin-Hoo leaked that information for Jung-Soo and that the design leaked was also intentional. She tells him that she wants him to help because Jin-Hoo doesn’t believe him.

President has a meeting with Jung-Soo and her relationship with Jin-Hoo is ill-fated because he leaked the information and he keeps trying to help her that he is getting hurt in the process. He then says that he will give her anything for her to leave and break all contact with Jin-Hoo. Jung-Soo gets teary and tells him that Jin-Hoo isn’t a business transaction. He tells her that this will be the only chance for her to choose and that once she leaves this room Jin-Hoo will be out of her life. She tells him to hand over the rights to her design. 

Jin-Hoo goes running to see the President and he tells her she left and with her design rights and that she knew this was going to happen. He then runs and finds her leaving and catches up to and asks her why she wanted her design rights and what she gave up for them. He asks her if it was really a coincidence when they met at the airport and what was sincere. She tells him from the beginning it was a sham and that it was everything. she tells him she chose the design rights over him and she doesn’t want to break her promise with the President and this is how the 15th episode ends.

Wow Kyung-Hee really raised the level of deception and manipulation in this episode!! she really pulled out the big guns to squish Jung-Soo! but I mean she really shouldn’t be doing that because now she has nothing to lose, it will make it easier for her to go do Do-Young and reveal the truth! She should have just done that from the start and I think things would have turned out better for her because she has had to lower herself to try to hurt Kyung-Hee. Kyung-Hee made sure to get to everyone first to give her slant of the story because Jung-Soo wasn’t sharing it, she used it to her own advantage. Jung-Soo should have been communicating with Jin-Hoo and then he could have steered her in the right direction. Of course Kyung-Hee was the one that made the factory owner make all the bags because Jung-Soo wouldn’t even had the money to pay him! I mean she doesn’t even have anywhere to live! I mean doesn’t Jin-Hoo realize that Jung-Soo isn’t that great of an actor to pull that all off? I mean if she wanted to get back at Kyung-Hee wouldn’t Jung-Soo have tried to seduce him? I mean she didn’t do a very good job at trying to secure him! she paid more attention to Manager Kang than him in the beginning? I mean why would she plan to have her leather samples in her book missing when she went for the interview? she would have never guessed that he would have given her a job? I have say it was very Cinderella-esque when he put her shoe back on for her!!  I am not really sure why she wanted her design rights? what does that help? Is she going to make the bag with a different company? Does that mean that the company also dropped the charges because the President made her a deal? I guess I will just have to wait for the next episode to get those answers!!
