To The Beautiful You Episode 16 (Final) Summary October 8, 2012

The sixteenth episode starts off with Tae-Joon getting up in the morning and Jae-Hee helping him out of bed because she needs to start his morning practice. She feeds him and he goes off running, he meets up with Hyun-Jae and they race each other and continue their exercises. Tae-Joon makes it over the bar and Hyun-Jae doesn’t so Tae-Joon gives him some pointers and notices that Hyun-Jae’s shoes are a little worn.

Jae-Hee is asking Dr. Jang about massaging and he of course chides her for thinking she could learn that over night. He decides to help her with the leg muscles and he asks her how her bandaged chest is and she says its a bit suffocating but is okay for now.

Ha-Na is putting makeup on and she is siting in a cafe, Seung-Ri comes in and says he stopped by the hospital and heard she was discharged and tells her he had to work so hard for her number. He brings back the cardigan and says he hand washed it and gave it a 100% and she acts a little creeped out by his enthusiasm. She asks if he prepared anything funny today and he tells her that he didn’t have anything ready because he was in such a rush to come. He tells her about the rumor at the school that there is a girl in the dorms. She asks him what he is going to do and he says he will do a shirtless training for his dorm too and she protests loudly and then says because the weather is cold and she doesn’t want him to get sick. Seung-Ri gets very excited because he misinterprets her concern as concern for him. Seung-Ri then rifles through his bag and shows her a wig and geeky glasses and she laughs hard and asks him if he has always been this ugly. He gets upset and quickly takes off his disguise.

Tae-Joon and Jae-Hee are sitting down to eat and they hear students discussing who could be a girl and Tae-Joon assures her that he will protect her. Tae-Joon asks how Eun-Gyeol and she hasn’t talked to him and he says that he will be upset over something like that for awhile.

As Tae-Joon and Jae-Hee walk back Eun-Gyeol comes running to them and asks if Jae-Hee brightly if she wants to go shopping with him tonight and if she doesn’t she isn’t his friend. Jae-Hee agrees and Tae-Joon says he will also go with them because he needs to buy something too.

The three of them are in the shoe section and he picks up a shoe and asks for them in a smaller size. Jae-Hee asks why he is getting it smaller and he says that its not for him to wear. Eun-Gyeol barges between them to show the shoe that he picked up.

They go out to eat at the street vendors and Eun-Gyeol talks about getting hot from eating the spicy food and he and Jae-Hee both take off their jackets. Eun-Gyeol notices that she is wearing the shirt that he gave her and Eun-Gyeol says he is also wearing his. Tae-Joon then tells them that he is going to the washroom.

Jae-Hee and Tae-Joon are back in the dorm and he gives her a gift and its the same bag as his and she says its like a couple bag. She then tells him that she learned how to massage and he protests that he is okay she forces him to lie down and starts massaging him. He stops her and he tells her that she is forbidden from coming within 1 meter from him. She tells him that is ridiculous and goes in for more massage and he grabs her and pushing her by the bed post. He tells her that he told her to stand still and then tells her that he is going for a run.

Dr. Jang comes into his office in the morning and finds Tae-Joon sleeping in the bed. He asks why he was there and Tae-Joon tells him that it was easier for him to fall asleep there. He goes back to his room and Jae-Hee asks where he was and he tells her that he couldn’t sleep.

Tae-Joon and Hyun-Jae are in the change room and they discuss that Coach was going to take them out in afternoon. Hyun-Jae tells him that Tae-Joon is way better than the other guy and that he will make it to Olympics. Tae-Joon tells him that he as no intention in going alone and gives him the shoes that he bought and says lets go together and and walks out.

Jae-Hee and Tae-Joon are packing him up and she finds the shoelaces that she gave him and he tells her that he needs the luck. He tells her that she better make it the day of the competition and not to be late. He gets ready to leave and as he is about to walk out the door and she says wait and gives him a kiss and tells him so he doesn’t hurt himself and tells him to have a nice trip.

Coach is going to his car and he sees Teacher Lee and he thinks that she was waiting for him she protests. She gives him a bag and that she packed food for him and tells its because she doesn’t want him eating ramen. He then tells her that he wants to carpool with her and that he moved so that he would be closer and they could carpool.

Jae-Hee is in her room and she is going through her drawers and she can’t find her diary. She notices that her bandage feels tight.

Jae-Hee is in athletic club and she is having a hard time keeping up.

Ha-Na is in her car and her driver encourages her that after rehab she will get strong.

Tae-Joon and Hyun-Jae are in the car and he sends a text to Eun-Gyeol to take care of Jae-Hee. He then gets a text from Ha-Na that she started her rehab and asks if she can borrow his saying and then wishes him good luck. She also asks how Jae-Hee is. He replies that she is good thanks her for her concern which Ha-Na doesn’t like him saying.

Jae-Hee is walking out of club and is looking very sick, Seung-Ri asks if she is okay and she says she is fine. A couple of guys run past and bang into her and  then she faints, Seung-Ri gets on the phone and tells the guys to undo her shirt and tie. A guy starts unbuttoning her shirt and sees the bandage and they ask Seung-Ri what to do and they all find out that she is a girl. He then calls Eun-Gyeol and runs to Seung-Ri he tells him that she was woken up and he wants to talk to him first. He asks if he knew  and who else and he says yes and Tae-Joon knew too, he freaks out because they could get expelled .

Dr. Jang is with Jae-Hee and tells her that it is over now and that she has actually lasted for quite awhile. He tells her that it is not her fault. Eun-Gyeol comes in and she asks him what she should do and starts to cry.

Tae-Joon, Hyun-Jae and Coach arrive at the nationals. Tae-Joon phones Jae-Hee but doesn’t get through. Coach puts his arm around the guys and says in two days they will be competing here.

Seung-Ri is alone and flashbacks to yelling at Jae-Hee asking what kind of joke was she trying to pull on them. She apologizes and he doesn’t accept and she tells him that she will take whatever punishment he wants to give her but that she doesn’t want him to punish Eun-Gyeol or Tae-Joon. She tells him that she knows she shouldn’t have done it and will take responsibility for everything. He gets mad at her again and then asks if she is okay and if she is hurt angrily and she says yes and then cries.

Everyone is talking about Jae-Hee being a girl at the school.

Jae-Hee is walking on campus and Eun-Gyeol goes and gets her and takes her back to her room and he tries to encourage her.

The two other dorm leaders approach Seung-Ri and they go to talk.

Jae-Hee is with Sang-Chu and she thanks him and is saying her good bye to him.

The two dorm are telling Seung-Ri to tell the school about Jae-Hee and they wonder who will take responsibility. He tells them he will take responsibility and asks them to keep it a secret from the school and he wants to be with her until the end.

Jae-Hee is outside the dorm and Seung-Ri comes to her and she says sorry and he tells her not to worry and agrees to keep it a secret from the school because he doesn’t want to mess with things.

Dr. Jang and Jae-Hee talk and he asks her what she is going to do and she tells him that she is going to leave. He tells her she should stay and watch Tae-Joon compete before she leaves. She says no because if she sees it she might not be able to leave and she booked her flight the day of the competition. She starts crying and says thank you, he comes over and puts his hand on her shoulder. He tells her with time passing it can heal any scar.

Jae-Hee packs her bag in her room while crying, her phone starts ringing and it is Tae-Joon and he asks why she hasn’t been answering her phone all day and she says she had it on vibrate. He tells her that he missed her and tells her sweet things and Coach interrupts him and they say good bye.

Jae-Hee walks down the hallway and Eun-Gyeol comes to her and says he has heard that she is leaving and got her transfer papers. He grabs her arm and drags her outside and tells her that he can’t let her leave like this and that they can still find a solution. Jae-Hee hugs him and says she has gotten greedy because everyone has been so good to her.  He goes on saying that she can’t leave him even if they are not dating he wants her to be by his side for a while. Jae-Hee says sorry and he walks away in a huff.

Hyun-Jae and Tae-Joon are practicing and they both make it over the bar. Coach tells them if they keep it up they can make it to the Olympics and he thanks them for letting him coach them.

They both are walking out and Hyun-Jae sees Jae-Hee and makes an excuse to leave and then Tae-Joon sees her and runs over. She says she came to see him because she has missed him. He says he wants to take her to a place and they go rent bikes and ride around a park. Tae-Joon gets them a drink and they sit on some steps, he reaches for her hand and holds it while they watch a fountain show. She tells him that he is her miracle and that everyday she has been with him as been a miracle. She tells him that she is soaking up his image now so that every time she closes her eyes she will see him. He says she is acting weird and asks if something happened she says no that she is just happy and she goes to get her back. He chases after her and gives her a kiss.

They are at the bus stop and he tells her that she has to come tomorrow on time and he tells her that Eun-Gyeol should come and meet her because she shouldn’t walk home alone and that he will call him for her. Jae-Hee holds out her hand and says take care and he shakes her hand thinking she is acting strange. Her bus comes and before she gets on she goes in for a hug and he asks if something is going on and she says she doesn’t want to part with him whether its a second or a year its all the same to her. She says see you tomorrow and gets on the bus and they watch each other as she leaves.

Jae-Hee is in the dorm and sits on Tae-Joon’s bed and flashbacks to them sleeping together and other such times with him.

She walks around the campus and meets her whole dorm waiting for her and Seung-Ri chides her for not saying good bye. He holds out his hand and tells her not to forget them and goes for a hug. She asks where Eun-Gyeol is and he says he hasn’t seen him. They all say goodbye and she tells them thank and they say to come visit again. Jae-Hee keeps walking and Eun-Gyeol calls her with Sang-Chu with him. He tells her he wasn’t going to come and she says thanks and hugs him. He tells her to take care of herself and she tells him to also and he asks if she is going to see Tae-Joon and she says its better this way. He tells her that he won’t forgive me and that he is going to make sure he sees her again. They both say goodbye and she tells Sang-Chu to take care and then she leaves and waves from farther on.

At the nationals Tae-Joon asks if there has been any phone calls and he tells him that there hasn’t. Coach’s phone rings and its Eun-Gyeol wanting to talk to Tae-Joon. Eun-Gyeol tells him that Jae-Hee didn’t want to tell him but he would want to hear if it was him and then he tells him that Jae-Hee left for America. Tae-Joon gives the phone back and rushes out of the stadium, Hyun-Jae says he will check on him. Hyun-Jae asks Tae-Joon what he is doing and he says he is going to Seoul and Hyun-Jae grabs him and asks him what he is doing. His bag goes flying and a notebook falls out he opens it up and it has height written down and a picture of him jumping.

Jae-Hee is riding a bus and the person next to him is watching the high jump and she asks if she can listen with her and she agrees. Lee Eun Ho clears 2 m 27 cm and Hyun-Jae has cleared 2m 29 cm. It’s Tae-Joon’s turn and is trying 2m 31 cm, he starts running and makes it over perfectly. Jae-Hee is excited and so is Tae-Joon and his Coach. Jae-Hee starts crying, Tae-Joon tells the camera that she needs to wait for him and she starts crying even harder.

It is one year later in California and Jae-Hee is walking a dog and she is sitting on her front yard on her laptop. She gets a video message from Eun-Gyeol and asks her if she has seen his goal. He goes onto say that Coach and Teacher Lee are getting married are getting married next year. Seung-Ri is in imprisonment and is secretly dating Ha-Na but he is working really hard because he wants to major in physical therapy. He then tells her that Dr. Jang has gone to study fashion in Paris. He also says that Tae-Joon went on a vacation somewhere like Jeju Island because they are on a break. He tells her that he is going to email soon again and says good bye. Jae-Hee wonders how Tae-Joon is doing and wishes she got more information on him. She drops her book and sees some feet, she looks up and sees Tae-Joon and they hug. He asks if she was well and she nods and they hug again and this is how the last episode ends!!

What a touching last episode it was very good!! Tae-Joon and Jae-Hee’s love for each other was really cemented in this episode and believable. I am so happy that he didn’t chase after her though and he fulfilled his own dream which was also hers. They were both so sweet to each other and I am happy that they got a happy ending. This episode really wanted to make me cry and the scene that did it was when her whole dorm came to see her off and encouraged her!! I want to cry again just thinking about it!! I am sad that Eun-Gyeol didn’t find anyone for him and is still hung up on Jae-Hee who he will never have. Seung-Ri and Ha-Na are soo cute together, I love that he tries so hard for her and she secretly loves it.

The only thing that confuses me is what happened to Hyun-Jae? is he going to the olympics? obviously Tae-Joon is going to the olympics but why did it take him a whole year to come visit her? I mean couldn’t Jae-Hee have been able to go to another school in Korea and stay closer to him and Eun-Gyeol? I think there could have been a better game plan than the one that they chose.

Thanks everyone for joining me on the journey of To The Beautiful You!! it has been a lot of fun!! I will miss these characters it has been a very well made drama!! It had a perfect amount of drama, comedic situations, romance and friendships. I would highly recommend this drama to anyone! To The Beautiful You Episode 15 Summary October 7, 2012

Episode 15 starts with Eun-Gyeol finding out that Jae-Hee is a girl. Jae-Hee is trying to set things right with Eun-Gyeol and is apologizing but Eun-Gyeol is mad and thinks that she was toying with his feelings.

Hyun-Jae is in the bathroom giving himself a pep talk. He goes out of the bathroom and Eun-Gyeol comes in and he says sorry to him for using the bathroom, Eun-Gyeol explodes at him. Eun-Gyeol lies in bed and Hyun-Jae tries to say sorry and tells him that he is going to practice. Eun-Gyeol has flashbacks of Jae-Hee and trying to come to terms of her being a girl.

Tae-Joon gets a text from his dad showing him a picture of his flowers that have bloomed. He goes to practice and makes it over the bar and Hyun-Jae comments on how happy he is and they joke around. The Coach calls them over and shows them a video of a guy jumping over the bar with ease 2m 29 cm, he tells them it is Lee Eun Ho who  transferred 6 months from America and he used to play basketball. He goes onto to tell them that his best record is 2m 31 cm and it is 1 cm higher than Tae-Joon’s record, he will be debuting at the upcoming Nationals.

Eun-Gyeol gets a call from Jae-Hee, he doesn’t answer and Seung-Ri finds him and tells him a joke, Eun-Gyeol doesn’t laughs but walks away.

Tae-Joon goes back to his room and he doesn’t see Jae-Hee there.

Jae-Hee is talking to Sang-Chu and she is crying and wondering what she should do. Tae-Joon finds her and she reminisces about the first time they met there. She then tells him that she is a girl and he just hugs her and says thanks for coming to be by his side. He tells her that he has known she was a girl and that he wanted to tell her but just kept it bottled up in his heart and endured it. He is crying and he then tells her that he likes her and goes in for another hug while she cries.

Eun-Gyeol is sitting and Hyun-Jae gives him a drink which he bought with his hard earned allowance. He tells Eun-Gyeol that he has been taking him for granted and he says he is sorry and won’t do it again. Eun-Gyeol says it doesn’t matter and that he is sorry for taking his frustrations out on him. Hyun-Jae asks about his love life and he tells him he is angry at the person because he was decieved. He is upset that the person probably had no one to talk to and he was just there like a fool and couldn’t do anything.The fact for all of that was for another person makes him more angry and he is scared he won’t be able to forgive that person and he is angry because of himself.

There are some girls talking in the street and they are saying there is a rumor that there female student at Genie High. Some students from Genie High overhear this.

Coach sees Reporter Yang carrying many binders and he helps her carry them to her car. She tells him that she is doing an article on the athletic club at Genie Club and he is a little bit flirting with her. Teacher Lee sees them together and he yells and acts really rough with the Reporter Yang and leaves her.

Jae-Hee is in class and Eun-Gyeol comes in and she tries to talk to him and he just walks away and won’t answer. Tae-Joon follows after him and says they need to talk, he asks if they had a fight Eun-Gyeol says its not any of his concern. He tells her that Jae-Hee feels worried about Eun-Gyeol and he doesn’t want him tormenting her. Eun-Gyeol asks if he already knew from the beginning that Jae-Hee is a girl and he admits that he did. Eun-Gyeol gets mad that he didn’t tell him because he told him that he liked her. Tae-Joon tells him that he had no choice and had to pretend. Eun-Gyeol says that he thought that they were at least friends and says he is sorry he thought that on his own.

Eun-Gyeol is waiting for laundry, Jae-Hee does a sock puppet and says sorry and that she was going to tell him the truth. If it hadn’t been for him she wouldn’t have last a day and when something bad happened she wanted to run away but he would help her get through it. Eun-Gyeol gets up and she says sorry again and he walks away.

Jae-Hee meets Seung-Ri and he tells her a joke and she just walks away from him.

Teacher Lee tells Tae-Joon that Reporter yang is going to take some pictures of some students for the article and she wants him to cooperate with her. The Coach goes to Teacher Lee and asks if she wants to eat off campus and while he is talking she phones Dr. Jang and asks him if he wants to go for sushi. Coach wants to go too and she tells him to go be with Reporter Yang.

Tae-Joon goes back to the dorm and finds Jae-Hee doing his laundry and he tells her to stop doing his and he will do it from now on. Jae-Hee tells him that Eun-Gyeol found out that she was a girl and he is mad about that. He tells her that he will forgive and accept her soon. He says that she has been thinking about Eun-Gyeol all day and that he is getting jealous. She asks her how training is going and he tells her about the ace jumper that he will be competing against. He leaves to go practice again and he tells her that she has to remain by his side for him to jump well.

The third dorm leader tells Seung-Ri that there is a rumor that there is a girl at this school and he tells him that it isn’t from his dorm because they all went to the public bath house together and all had their shirts off. Seung-Ri tells him that it isn’t his dorm and the other leader asks if he can search his dorm then and Seung-Ri tells him he can.

Tae-Joon is looking up ways to have a good date on the internet and Jae-Hee walks in. He tells her that they are going out and they go to the Aquarium, she  links arms with him. As they walk home she says he is being weird because he is being so nice to her. She says that he always made her sad, he asks when she was the saddest and she says when he went back to the dorm while she waited at the campsite. He grabs her arm and tells her they are going to the campsite, they go into a store that has a tent and a site set up. They buy the tent and set it up back at the dorms and they make s’mores over a burner. He tells her that he used to go camping and that the best was in the winter, she tells him that she has never camped in winter and he says that they will have to go together. She gets sad and wonders where she will be in winter, he says that there is so much he wants to do with her and that she has to stay by his side. They hold hands and says they will do it all and she agrees.

Eun-Gyeol is going through his drawer and finds the shirt that Jae-Hee gave to him and then has flashbacks about him giving it to her and not making the team.

Reporter Yang is taking photos for Tae-Joon and his high jump, as she comes out of a room she hears students talking about a girl being in the school.

The two dorm leader are talking about a girl being in the school and Eun-Gyeol overhears this.

The athletic club is doing a practice and Reporter Yang is taking photos. Reporter Yang is watching Tae-Joon and Jae-Hee interact together. Reporter Yang approaches Jae-Hee after practice while she is cleaning up pylons. She questions how feminine her body looks and she ignores that comment, Yang tells her that there is a rumor going around about a girl student. Tae-Joon interrupts them and they leave.

Hyun-Jae meets Eun-Gyeol and he mentions the girl rumor to Eun-Gyeol and Eun-Gyeol tells him that is crazy. Hyun-Jae mentions seeing the two dorm leaders carrying a large box and going into the change rooms. Eun-Gyeol asks for the emergency key and runs away.

Jae-Hee goes into the change rooms and the two dorm leaders are in a box spying while she is changing. Jae-Hee takes off her jacket and then gets a text, Eun-Gyeol comes in and swipes her away, the dorm leaders don’t know where she has gone. They both figure that they have checked everyone from sophomore class and Jae-Hee was the last one so they decide to check the freshmen. Eun-Gyeol is around the corner covering Jae-Hee’s mouth and he tells her that she needs to be more careful because the dorm leaders aren’t going to quit this checking. He turns to leave and grabs his hand and she says sorry a couple more times.

Eun-Gyeol and Jae-Hee are on the soccer field and he tells her that the first time they met here he was starting to have feelings for her. He reminds her that she was going to grant him a wish and he tells her that his wish is for her to give him one more chance. He knows that in her eyes Tae-Joon is first but he wants a fair chance and he asks her to think about it one more time.

Tae-Joon comes out of the gym and Reporter Yang is waiting for him and she asks him if its okay to investigate his roommate but if he wants to avoid that she wants an  exclusive interview without his manager. He agrees.

Tae-Joon is in the dorm and Jae-Hee comes in and she tells him that she was with Eun-Gyeol and that they have made up. Jae-Hee goes to bed and she flashbacks to agreeing to spend tomorrow with him.

In the morning Tae-Joon tells her that he is going to an interview and she tells him that Eun-Gyeol wants to take her somewhere and he tells her to be careful. She says she knows and she is going to resolve things today.

Eun-Gyeol is in the washroom and Hyun-Jae is complaining because he needs to use the toilet. Eun-Gyeol is preparing for his date and uses all kinds of sprays.

Seung-Ri goes to visit Ha-Na and she tells him to go away and he says he won’t and he tells he is never going to leave and tells her to take the rehab treatment. He goes on if she gives him permission he will work hard to get to know her but if she doesn’t give permission he will back down from her and he won’t back down on he taking the rehab treatment. She asks why he is doing this and he says because he likes her and that he will try to make her laugh and does the kicking the hat trick and his pants split. He points out that she smiled and she denies it and then gives him his sweater to cover his butt for going back.

Eun-Gyeol and Jae-Hee go to an arcade and play some games. They look at hair clips and Jae-Hee points one out and when they leave Eun-Gyeol secretly buys it for her. They eat together and while Eun-Gyeol gets water she texts Tae-Joon wondering if his interview was going well. 

In the interview Reporter Yang is asking lots of questions and Tae-Joon seems annoyed.

Eun-Gyeol and Jae-Hee are walking and stop at a bench, Jae-Hee tells him that it would be good if he stopped being angry. He says that he is happy she is a girl because now its okay for him to like her. He said after hearing she was a girl he wasn’t sure that he could forgive her but he can now. He tells her that he likes seeing her smile more than seeing himself smile. He takes off his jacket and puts it around her and he then goes to get some hot drinks for them.

At the interview Reporter Yang asks off the record why he is so protective about Jae-Hee and he says he doesn’t want to make her stressed because of him and its better for him to be stressed. Tae-Joon leaves and gets all of her texts wondering how his interview went.

Tae-Joon rides the bus and continues to get her texts and then he sits on a bench and asks where she is and that he misses her.

Jae-Hee gets the text and she tells Eun-Gyeol that she thinks she needs to get back. Eun-Gyeol guesses that its Tae-Joon and then tells her that he is going to the bathroom for ten minutes and when he gets back and if she is not here he will take that as her answer. Eun-Gyeol holds her hand as she stands and says that he hopes that she won’t leave and then he walks away. When Eun-Gyeol comes back it is just his jacket sitting on the bench. He sits down and Jae-Hee stands behind him and calls his name.

Tae-Joon is waiting on the bench and Jae-Hee comes running to him.

Eun-Gyeol is sitting on his bench and flashbacks she says sorry and that she can’t accept his heart and she thought she should tell him this herself. He pats her head.

Jae-Hee tells Tae-Joon she ran all the way here because he said that he missed her and he goes over and hugs her and this how the fifteenth episode ends.

This was a good episode mainly because it is revealed to Eun-Gyeol that Jae-Hee is a girl!! I think many people were waiting for that to happen and I think that he had a right to be mad because he thought he was in love with a boy instead of a girl and that sure could mess with a person’s head. It is kinda weird to see Tae-Joon and Jae-Hee on a date and the same with Eun-Gyeol I found it slightly odd. Poor Eun-Gyeol he really never had a chance she came for Tae-Joon and he didn’t disappoint her so they built an emotional connection as well. They were pretty much girlfriend and boyfriend for a while because they shared there emotions and hurts with each other. When she was with Eun-Gyeol it was just about having fun and being silly so that does not usually develop into a strong emotional connection.

I love the new Hyun-Jae who is trying to be Eun-Gyeol’s friend and is trying to be nicer! I love watching him now!!

Seung-Ri is so cute when he is trying to win Ha-Na’s heart with all his corny jokes!! I think I love this love story even more!!

One thing I wonder if the dorm leaders will start going through dorms and find the hair clip that Eun-Gyeol bought for Jae-Hee in his room and they will think that he is a girl. Although it would be easy to disprove that theory!!

To The Beautiful You Episode 14 Summary October 3, 2012

The fourteenth episode starts with Jae-Hee trying to convince Tae-Joon to go to the hospital to see his father who has collapsed.

Jae-Hee goes to the hospital with Tae-Joon, Jae-Hee goes to get refreshments and leaves Tae-Joon to go in alone. He goes in and sees his father standing and his father says that it isn’t anything serious and that he just got a dizzy spell from his blood pressure. Tae-Joon helps his dad with the bed and his dad comments on how Tae-Joon must have taken care of his mother. Tae-Joon tells his father that he doesn’t think he can forgive his father and says that he is relieved it was nothing serious and then says he is leaving.

Jae-Hee and Tae-Joon are walking to the dorms, Tae-Joon holds Jae-Hee hands and continue to walk.

Seung-Ri visits Ha-Na and tells her that he is being discharged today. He tells her that he will make her smile before he leaves today, he tells some lame jokes and she knows all the answers. He doesn’t make her laugh and says the next time he comes he will make her laugh.

Jae-Hee is writing Tae-Joon’s high jump goal 2m 31cm on the bed post which is a cm better than his best time.

In the athletic club, Seung-Ri is working them very hard and Jong-Min asks if he is doing this because they didn’t visit him the hospital, he disagrees and gives them even more reps to do. As Jae-Hee is doing sit-ups Tae-Joon offers his hand and helps her to do them but he pulls to hard and she goes flying into him. Seung-Ri gives everyone even more reps because she was so full of energy and even else should be too.

Jae-Hee is at her desk and she is thinking back to the sit ups and she wonders if Tae-Joon knows she is a girl because of the look that he gave her when she fly into him. Instead she thinks that maybe Tae-Joon is also attracted to men so she shows a picture of what she thinks is a man but is instead a girl to Tae-Joon and asks what he thinks of it. He tells her that it is very pretty and that he would go on a date and she gets all flustered then she realizes the page fell out. She tells him that she was just joking around after he hits her head.

Hyun-Jae is practicing and he hits the bar but the coach says he is doing better he is just jumping prematurely. Hyun-Jae goes to fix the bar and Tae-Joon says he is doing it but Hyun-Jae tells him to just get ready. Tae-Joon then tells Hyun-Jae that to match the timing it was better to sing a song than to count internally. He asks what song he sang and Tae-Joon says Frog Boy. Tae-Joon is trying and keeps hitting the bar while Jae-Hee is filming with her phone. His coach says that his balance is off and asks if something is wrong or if he is dating. Tae-Joon says that nothing is going on and the coach says that they body needs to be tuned in for him to get over.

Tae-Joon and Jae-Hee are sitting and watching the video and Tae-Joon says that his form is a total mess. She asks if his balance is off because his father is in the hospital and he tells her to not talk about that. They watch another video and in the middle she gets a text from Eun-Gyeol asking if she wants to go watch soccer with him. She tells him that since Eun-Gyeol hurt his leg that is why he promised he would go watch the match today. Dr. Jang walks by sees them together and then sits down. Teacher Lee is walking past and sees Dr. Jang sitting and the Coach sees her watching him and she tells him that Dr. Jang is sexy especially in his forearm with his veins sticking out.

Tae-Joon’s manager is visiting Tae-Joon’s father and she asks him when he will tell Tae-Joon the truth about his mother. He tells her that it is fine now and that she should just let Tae-Joon keep believing what he does.

Jae-Hee is about to leave for the soccer match and invites him to come and she wishes he would come and just when he was about to agree she says bye and takes her phone out of his hand.

Jae-Hee and Eun-Gyeol are sitting in the bleachers watching the game from his phone. Jae-Hee apologizes about his leg and he tells her that she is her best friend and that he has been greedy and getting greedier all the time. He wishes she could just stay by his side forever. Jae-Hee says sorry again for everything and that later on if he is disappointed she hopes he won’t hate her.

Tae-Joon is practicing and still not getting over the bar and Hyun-Jae is not getting over it either. Coach tells them to stop and he calls Tae-Joon over and tells him not to come back in the gym until tomorrow because he is over practicing and that he should rest and have fun. He tells him its his heart and that he needs a rest. He tells Jae-Hee to take Tae-Joon away and to take pictures to prove it or he will give her a training from hell.

Tae-Joon is doing push ups and Jae-Hee sits on him so he can’t do anymore he decides to just some more with her on him until he collapses.

Coach invites Teacher Lee and he has made hand drip coffee and he shows off his forearms for her and she notices how the veins stick out. He tries to pick up the coffee but he can’t and then she notices something on his upper arm. It is rubber bands to make his veins stick out, and he tells her he wears it for concentration. He then tries to drink the coffee without hands and promptly spills it on himself.

Jae-Hee is going through her date book and realizes that Tae-Joon has not been doing well since his father went into the hospital. She then tries to convince Tae-Joon to go out with her. They go out shopping and enjoy themselves at the arcade and other places. She takes him to his old elementary school and they play on the playground. He has a flashback to him younger greeting his dad happily.

They take Sang-Chu for a walk and Jae-Hee talks about her old neighborhood fondly. He asks her if she regretted coming this far and she says no and he tells her its weird that him jumping gives her strength. He says if he starts jumping like before that she will then leave and she says probably. She says she is cold and he takes off his jacket and gives it to her. Tae-Joon then shockingly goes in for a kiss to a very surprised Jae-Hee. Jae-Hee asks if the chocolate he had earlier had alcohol in it and he agrees.

Jae-Hee sees Dr. Jang who tells her it is no big deal and that he does it to women on the subway all the time. He asks what she would do if Tae-Joon found out, she says that she would have to leave but that she wants to be a girl to Tae-Joon. He tells her when she first came here he saw a sense of desperation and wondered how she was going to resolve it. She says before she makes a decision to leave there is still something left she has to do.

Jae-Hee has a flashback to the problem with Tae-Joon’s father and then gets up and meets Tae-Joon she tells them that they are going out to eat for supper today.

Hyun-Jae brings Eun-Gyeol water and he asks Eun-Gyeol how his dating life is going and if its a guy. Hyun-Jae asks if its him and he of course says no and they joke around more.

Tae-Joon goes into the dorm and he sees his goal again and thinks he can accomplish it. He wonders if she is going to tell him that she is a girl.

Jae-Hee goes to visit Tae-Joon’s father at the hospital she tells him she has a request.

Jae-Hee is walking on campus and Eun-Gyeol comes up to her and he asks what’s wrong and she tells him that she did something that Tae-Joon is going to yell at her about. Eun-Gyeol encourages her and tells her to be strong and she thanks him.

Tae-Joon is waiting in the dorm and Jae-Hee comes in and they go out to eat and when they get there she tells him that his dad is coming. As Tae-Joon is about to leave his dad walks in and his father tells him to sit down because he has something to tell him. Jae-Hee tries to leave but Tae-Joon tells her to stay and his father tells her that she can leave. They sit down and his father tells him that he doesn’t know everything about his mother’s death.

Tae-Joon is walking and then sits by the water crying. He flashbacks to his father telling him that his mother knew about her illness from the beginning and hid it from them. She was in last stage liver cancer and treatment was impossible but a transplant was suggested. His mother didn’t want him to know because she didn’t want to be a burden and he thought it was better that he blamed him instead of his mother. He tells Tae-Joon that he is sorry and Tae-Joon is crying alone.

Jae-Hee flashbacks to her talk with Tae-Joon’s father and she tells him that Tae-Joon still needs someone to lean on. If it was her her heart would be hurting especially since his mom died and he has to hate his father. She tells him that she wishes he wouldn’t hide anything from him. Tae-Joon comes in crying he says he is late and she tells him no and welcome back. She goes in for a hug and she cries with him.

Eun-Gyeol is playing soccer and his coach comes up to him to tell him that the National Team Coach is coming to see him today.

Tae-Joon’s father gets a text from Tae-Joon which is pictures of when he went back to his old school and tells him not to carry the burden all by himself.

Tae-Joon and Hyun-Jae are training. Tae-Joon makes it over the bar and waves to Jae-Hee who is watching.

Jae-Hee and Tae-Joon are at the school store and she asks if his father and him made up and he says not completely yet. Tae-Joon says thanks for doing that for him. Eun-Gyeol comes in and sees the two of them together, he leaves and he wonders why he can’t be natural like Tae-Joon.

Tae-Joon goes back to his room and there are flowers sitting on his desk the same one he saw at the florist when they were out. Jae-Hee comes in and he asks what this is and she says she got them for him because he saw him looking at them last time. Tae-Joon asks if he can interpret it anyway that he wants to and she avoids answering him. He then goes up to and grabs her arm and tells her to not act like nothing is going on and then he tells her that he likes her. He then tells her that he is going to workout and goes out the door. He sits outside the door breathing and she is confused inside the room. Jae-Hee then realizes that it is time to tell Tae-Joon that she is a girl.

Eun-Gyeol comes out of his room complaining about Hyun-Jae and looking like he needs to use the bathroom. He goes into Jae-Hee’s room thinking that no one is there and opens the bathroom door. Eun-Gyeol sees Jae-Hee take off her shirt from behind and sees her bandage around her and asks if she is a girl and this is how the fourteenth episode ends.

I am not completely sure how Eun-Gyeol could tell Jae-Hee was a girl from the back. I guess he saw the binding and could see a woman’s shape through it? anyway finally he knows because I was feeling really bad for him he was questioning his own identity and going crazy. Tae-Joon can stop blaming his father for his mother’s death because they would be a very miserable life!! Teacher Lee has such a large crush on Dr. Jang lol I would be attracted to him more than the coach!! I think that Jae-Hee should just tell him that she is a girl and then go to a different school as a girl and be his girlfriend!! but I guess that would change their relationship because they would not be able to live together anymore! sigh!!

To The Beautiful You Episode 13 Summary October 1, 2012

The thirteenth episode starts off with Tae-Joon stopping Jae-Hee from leaving and tells her not to go to America. Eun-Gyeol opens the door and tells them that their cell phones got switched.

Tae-Joon and Jae-Hee get out of Dr. Jang’s car and Tae-Joon carries all the luggage back to the dorm.

Tae-Joon tells her to take a shower and pushes her even though she doesn’t want to and then tells her after the shower that they need to talk. Jae-Hee wonders if he found out that she is a girl.

Dr. Jang is alone and has noticed that Tae-Joon has feelings for her and sends a text to Jae-Hee saying that she should be even more cautious of Tae-Joon. He gets a text back from Tae-Joon saying that he sent the text to the wrong person. Dr. Jang meets Tae-Joon outside of the dorms and Tae-Joon tells him that he knows that Jae-Hee wasn’t a guy. He tells them that he found out that she is a girl when her brother came and Dr. Jang realizes that Tae-Joon has feelings for Jae-Hee. He tells him that if she finds out she has been caught by him that she will ultimately have to leave.

Tae-Joon goes back and she asks what they wanted to talk about and he says nothing. She asks what he meant when he said those things the other night and he comes up with excuses that don’t sound like he has special feelings for her. He grabs her arm and tells her not to think of other people when she is around him and to stay with him. She agrees and says she will stay by his side.

Tae-Joon is getting ready to in the morning and finds a note from he saying to its not good to exercise on an empty stomach and a bottle of some kind of drink. She wakes up with a note on her face saying that thanks for the drink and to make sure to eat breakfast too.

Tae-Joon rides bike and goes to his high jump practice, gets over and sees Jae-Hee watching. Hyun-Jae also goes and he knocks the bar down. Tae-Joon then goes again and makes it over, the coach tells Hyun-Jae that he is too aggressive and to not just attack the bar.

Hyun-Jae is in the locker room and flashbacks to the meeting where he was told he has to beat Tae-Joon to get the contract.

Jong-Min is doing a tarot card reading for Eun-Gyeol and tells him he is going to win a goal at he nationals, he is going to win something pretty and lastly that he is going to find love. Eun-Gyeol tells him to do Jae-Hee he agrees begrudgingly and she gets the death card and tells her there are dark shadows around her.

Eun-Gyeol is on some crazy peddling scooter and tells a sitting Jae-Hee not to worry about the card. He then lets her ride the scooter, he then shows her his move he is going to do after scoring a goal. He folds his body down and tells her its a Gu, for Gu-Jae-Hee.

Jae-Hee is walking and she sees Hyun-Jae hanging around the railing, she walks away and sees Tae-Joon, she calls out to him and a falling potted plant falls right next to his feet.

Jae-Hee and Tae-Joon are sitting and eating, she tells him that she saw Hyun-Jae acting suspicious earlier. She asks if Hyun-Jae has something against him, Tae-Joon tells her it was just a coincidence and he wouldn’t have done that to him. Jae-Hee then remembers the death card she got and she warns Tae-Joon to be careful.

Ha-Na is with reporters and she tells them that she is not retiring but that she is taking a rehab break. They ask about Tae-Joon and against her manager’s wishes she tells them that she broke up with him because he was boring and she wanted someone more exciting.

Ha-Na is in her hospital room crying and she picks up Jae-Hee’s card and looks at it.

Tae-Joon comes back after riding his bike and Hyun-Jae in a hoodie has pliers and looks like he is cutting the brakes on Tae-Joon’s bike. Jae-Hee sees this happen asks him what he is doing and he runs away.

Hyun-Jae goes into his room and Eun-Gyeol scares him, Hyun-Jae strongly yells at him and Eun-Gyeol throws him a birthday present. Hyun-Jae opens it and it is a tube of something, Eun-Gyeol jokes around with him a bit. Hyun-Jae then doesn’t go to sleep right away.

In the morning Jae-Hee tells Tae-Joon to not take his bike but he says that is part of his training. She doesn’t want to tell him so she just grabs his bike and leaves, she is riding and she wonders if she overreacted and figures that there is nothing wrong with it. She continue biking and the wire breaks and she becomes out of control, Eun-Gyeol sees this and chases after her with his scooter and jumps off blocking her bike and she falls into him on the ground. She notices that his ankle is bleeding and he tries to get up and walk and he is limping.

Dr. Jang is wrapping up Eun-Gyeol and is told that he can’t play in the next match. They are sitting outside and she says sorry and he tells her that he will heal quickly. He tells her to leave and he is actually in a lot of pain but is still glad that Jae-Hee didn’t get hurt.

Jae-Hee approaches Hyun-Jae about the weird things that he is doing and she tells him that because of him Eun-Gyeol is hurt. He grabs her collar and she pushes him off and warns him that next time she won’t let it go. Eun-Gyeol overhears and questions Hyun-Jae about what that all means.  Eun-Gyeol scolds him outside for a while and Hyun-Jae says sorry, Eun-Gyeol says that he is disappointed in him.

Tae-Joon runs to class and asks Jae-Hee about the accident and she tells him Eun-Gyeol got hurt and that he can’t play in the Nationals match.

Seung-Ri goes to Ha-Na’s room looking for her but she isn’t there, he finds her outside. He goes up to her and she pushes him off again, he gives her a drink and he says he read the article about the serious injury. He tells her that he was hurt in a car accident 3 years ago and was told he would never be able to play sports either but that was nonsense and he started playing sports right away and even won 1500m competition. He tries to show her his scar on his back and she freaks out and hits him because she thinks he is showing her his bum. He asks if they can be friends and she says no thanks but that she wouldn’t mind if he brought her tabloids.

Jong-Min in class finds the article that Tae-Joon and Ha-Na broke up and they starting bugging Tae-Joon because she broke up with him. They mimic Gangnam style with Grandpa Style, the Coach interrupts them and tells them to sit down and be quiet. Coach asks where Hyun-Jae is and he finds it strange because he never misses class ever. Tae-Joon flashbacks to all the weird things happening and wonders if Hyun-Jae is related.

Jae-Hee is walking and she sees the Coach and Tae-Joon’s father talking she says hello and the coach introduces them. Tae-Joon’s father asks to talk to her and he tells her that he doesn’t know what Tae-Joon is thinking with his name splashed in magazines all the time. He tells her that he wonders if it is his fault and that Tae-Joon blames him for his mother’s death and that he isn’t wrong.

Eun-Gyeol is limping along and he flashbacks to his coach yelling at him for getting hurt and that he is missing a great opportunity. Eun-Gyeol wonders why Hyun-Jae had done something like that. He meets a little girl looking for Tae-Joon, he sits with her and calls Tae-Joon who doesn’t answer. He tells her to go home, she yells no.

Jae-Hee is folding laundry and Eun-Gyeol comes in with a cart with a bag on it, he asks for Tae-Joon because his little sister was here and opens the bag to show the little girl. She tells them that she isn’t Tae-Joon’s little sister but that he is her boyfriend, there is a knock on the door and they stuff back in the bag. Coach comes in and he is wondering where Hyun-Jae is and where Tae-Joon is and they both give different answers. He tells them to tell Hyun-Jae and Tae-Joon to go see him when they see them. The little girl comes out again and she tells them that her older brother is Hyun-Jae.

Hyun-Jae is sitting in some bleachers, he pulls out a paper that says athletic club withdrawal form.

Tae-Joon is in the locker room and the Coach comes in asking about Hyun-Jae and if he has heard anything about him. He tells him that his father was here earlier and was worried about him. Tae-Joon doesn’t respond and leaves.

Hyun-Ji is being fed by Jae-Hee and Eun-Gyeol, Hyun-Jae comes in and greets him. Hyun-Jae is surprised and she asks him to phone Tae-Joon because he told her that they are close, Jae-Hee says that they are close but that Tae-Joon is busy training now. Jae-Hee says that she will get his autograph for her later and Hyun-Jae takes her home. He gives her a bag and tells her to go inside and she is sad that he doesn’t come in with her. She asks when he is going to win the gold medal soon so that they can all be together again.

Eun-Gyeol is in his room, Hyun-Jae comes in and he says thanks for being nice to his little sister after what he did. Eun-Gyeol asks why he did it and he says that all he could think of was winning and starts crying and goes on saying he thought that if he just worked hard he could do well but after watching Tae-Joon he realized all his hard work couldn’t compare to Tae-Joon’s talent. Eun-Gyeol says that there is no such thing as a fruitless effort and that in the end his effort will pay off in the end if he tries. Hyun-Jae tells him that he committed an unforgivable sin and that he will not ignore but will take responsibility for it. Eun-Gyeol tells him that he will know be his slave until he is healed up.

Tae-Joon is practicing, Jae-Hee comes in and Tae-Joon says that he knew that Hyun-Jae messed with his bike and she took it so he won’t get hurt. He gives her a back hug and says thanks and to not ever do that again.

Tae-Joon meets Hyun-Jae and he tells him that he was the one responsible and that he knows he should resign but he can’t. He then says if he tells him to quit, he will quit. Tae-Joon asks if something happened and pretends that nothing happened and tells him that he should be getting ready for the competition and to stop be so relaxed about it.

Jae-Hee hands Tae-Joon his phone because his father is calling, he ignores the call. She asks why he never goes home on the weekend and he says its too much of a hassle. He asks if she has met with his father, she stutter and he guesses that she did meet him. She tells him that Tae-Joon should make up with his father and that she thinks he might be mistaken about some things. Tae-Joon gets upset and leaves to visit Sang-Chu. He flashbacks to his mother’s birthday and they are waiting for him to eat supper, his father sends flowers instead of coming. Another flashback is when he is a teenager and he finds his mom lying on the floor unconscious, later on he is talking to his father who doesn’t take it serious. Another flashback she is coughing and he tells her that she should go to the hospital and he talks to her dad that he should persuade her to go to the hospital. Another flashback is at the funeral and afterwards he asks his dad why he lied to him that it wasn’t anything serious. His father says sorry, and Tae-Joon says if she would have gone to the hospital sooner when he told him to get her checked out by the doctor they could have fixed it.

Jae-Hee is in the room and hears Tae-Joon’s phone ring, she answers the phone call from his father. Jae-Hee goes looking outside and finds Tae-Joon and tells him that his father has collapsed and this is how the thirteenth episode ends.

What an unlucky episode so many bad things happened or almost happened.

To The Beautiful You Episode 12 Summary

Episode 12 starts off with Eun-Gyeol telling Jae-Hee that he likes her, she thinks its a prank and he tells her its not. Tae-Joon comes walking down the hallway to them and they explain what they were doing and he tells her to come in. Tae-Joon asks if anything happened between her and Eun-Gyeol, she denies nothing was happening. Tae-Joon tells her that his relationship with Ha-Na is not what she thinks. Tae-Joon goes to the bathroom and wonders what Eun-Gyeol sad to Jae-Hee.

Eun-Gyeol in his own room wonders if he did the right thing and he comes to the conclusion he did. He then tells Hyun-Jae who is changing to not do that in front of him anymore and he continues to change not listening. Eun-Gyeol looks at him without a shirt and thinks that he is not very good looking because he doesn’t feel attracted to him at all.

Jae-Hee is in bed and she phones Tae-Joon because she can’t sleep and she discusses how troublesome she must have been for him all this time. He tells her that he has never felt bothered and he tells her thanks for enabling him to jump again. Jae-Hee sticks her head over the edge and he asks her again what Eun-Gyeol said to her, she doesn’t reply and hangs up.

Tae-Joon goes for a run happily. He goes to high jump practice and makes the jump and coach says if he keeps this up he could qualify for the olympics and then he scolds Hyun-Jae for choking when it comes to the critical time.

In the changing room Tae-Joon tries to encourage him, Hyun-Jae tells him not to worry about him and gives lots of attitude. Tae-Joon apologizes and leaves, Hyun-Jae kicks the lockers a couple of times. Hyun-Jae flashbacks to a meeting he had where they told they wanted to sponsor him but the one thing he has to do is beat Tae-Joon at the next nationals.

Eun-Gyeol meets up with Jae-Hee and asks her to go eat, she makes an excuse and leaves. Tae-Joon has watched them from behind.

Jae-Hee goes to see Ha-Na with flowers, she questions Jae-Hee whether she likes Tae-Joon and that is why she is sharing the room. Jae-Hee assures her that they are not romantically involved and Ha-Na agrees to keep the secret from the school. Ha-Na asks why she came in the first place, Jae-Hee grabs her hand and tells her to never give up on her sport. She also gives her a phrase written on a piece of paper that encouraged her and tells Ha-Na she is going to keep visiting her. Ha-Na opens the card and it says that a miracle is another name for effort.

Jae-Hee is in her room and looking at flights to L.A, Tae-Joon comes in quietly and sneaks up on her. Jae-Hee slams her laptop shut and he asks her if she was watching something perverted and she says she wasn’t. He says he will pretend that she wasn’t and continues to bug her. She goes to get ready for bed when her phone rings and Tae-Joon sees that it is Eun-Gyeol, she comes back and grabs her phone and takes it to the washroom.

Seung-Ri is in the hospital and meets up with Ha-Na and tells her that it is fate that they are meeting like this. She asks what he wants and he tells her since they will be meeting they should acknowledge each other at least. A nurse comes up and asks if he has farted yet because he has to before he can eat, she pats him and he lets out a fart. Ha-Na plugs her nose and say congratulations along with the other people in the hallway.

Tae-Joon leaves a box on Jae-Hee’s desk, he hears the shower on and his heart starts beating.He starts doing pull-ups and other random exercises in the room. She comes out and encourages him which makes his heart beat again. She finds the box which is the cosmetic from her last gift, and Tae-Joon says he got it as a free gift when he bought his. She puts some on her hand and she flashbacks to when she got her birthday present and then flashbacks to Eun-Gyeol confessing to her. She tells Tae-Joon that she is going out, he tells her to wait and puts a warm hat on her head because her hair is still wet.

Jae-Hee goes to Dr. Jang and she tells him about Eun-Gyeol and he says he doesn’t have relationship advice since he has been single for eight years. He tells her that it is going to get more difficult as people start finding out one by one. He also tells her that soon she is going to leave and that she needs to start preparing herself and others.

Tae-Joon fixes the streetlight lamp and Eun-Gyeol meets him questioning why he did that. Tae-Joon asks him what he talked to Jae-Hee about and he denies anything happened and a few seconds later he tells him that he confessed to Jae-Hee. As Jae-Hee walks back she gets a text from Dr. Jang saying that if she feels uncomfortable around Eun-Gyeol he has a solution for that. Jae-Hee notices that the light was fixed and feels better that it is working.

Dr. Jang approaches teacher Lee and asks her what she is doing this weekend and he tells her it is to get some work done and she agrees.

Eun-Gyeol is waiting outside Jae-Hee’s door with milk and Tae-joon bugs him about it. He goes in and gives her some strawberry milk and puts his hand on her shoulder which makes her uncomfortable.  Tae-Joon notices Jae-Hee’s packed bag and she tells him Min-Woo is volunteering this weekend and she is going to. Tae-Joon says that he will go too and Eun-Gyeol also volunteers to go with them. Jae-Hee sighs and Tae-Joon asks if she doesn’t want them to go with and she says it isn’t that.

Tae-Joon gets a text from her manager to check his email he goes on Jae-Hee’s computer and sees that she has a flight booked for L.A.

Ha-Na’s manager is with her in the hospital, she tells her that her and Tae-Joon aren’t dating anymore and that she dumped him. Seung-Ri is also in the waiting room and overhears that Tae-Joon and Ha-Na aren’t dating anymore.

Coach, Teacher Lee, Dr. Jang, Jae-Hee, Tae-Joon, and Eun-Gyeol arrive at the place they are going to volunteer. Eun-Gyeol tries to clear the air and tells her to treat him as if nothing has changed. The three of them look at a picture of an old man, the woman comes out and says that the grandfather caused trouble was her nemesis and has gone to a better place. Tae-Joon volunteers himself and Eun-Gyeol to go into town and get food to have for supper.

Dr. Jang is examining different villagers, the boys are thatching the roof and are doing different labor.

Tae-Joon asks Jae-Hee to give help him wash his back with the hose. Jae-Hee notices his pants are ripped and she tells him to take off his pants so she can sew them. Tae-Joon comes in later wearing work pants and gives her the jeans for her to sew and she takes a picture.

Ha-Na is looking at a picture of Tae-Joon, Seung-Ri sees her standing there. Someone knocks into Ha-Na and she drops the picture, Seung-RI sees her leaning over the edge and he thinks she is trying to jump, he runs and holds onto her and tells her there are more guys in the world. She hits him in the spot where he had surgery and it is bleeding, he gets wheeled away.

Eun-Gyeol, Jae-Hee and Tae-Joon are all eating and they are served chicken. Tae-Joon says he doesn’t like chicken, Eun-Gyeol and Jae-Hee realize they are perfect for each other for eating chicken because she only likes breast meat and he only likes the legs.

Tae-Joon and Eun-Gyeol get ready for bed they pull too hard on the blanket and rip it because they are competing with each other. Eun–Gyeol asks what Tae-Joon’s relationship is with Jae-Hee because he feels it is a weird one, more than roommates or friends.

Tae-Joon is petting Sang-Chu and Jae-Hee comes out asking for Tae-Joon to come to the bathroom with her because she is scared of it being outdoor. He gets rid of the bug for her in the washroom and stands guard for her outside. As they walk back he asks her if she is going back to America because he accidentally saw the ticket. She tells him that she isn’t sure what to do because he doesn’t need her help anymore. They see the grandfather from the picture and they both freak out, Tae-Joon calls him a ghost.

The old man and woman tell them that she didn’t tell him that he was dead she told them that he was on a trip. The old man gets upset with them because they thought he was dead and a ghost.

Dr. Jang gives Teacher Lee some pills for digestion and the Coach goes to look for plum extract to help her and doesn’t find any.

Jae-Hee sits outside and Eun-Gyeol joins her and tells her that if she is worried that he can tell her and she teases him. Tae-Joon watches from afar.

The coach goes to the fridge and finds the plum extract after all the looking. He puts some in a cup for her, he feels her head and she tells him that he hand stinks and he tries to make the case that it is fermented soybean paste as he was looking through all the jars.

Eun-Gyeol and Jae-Hee are working in the field and they take a picture together, he gets a call from his coach that tells him that he made the nationals because someone dropped out. Eun-Gyeol tells her to pinch his cheek hard and he tells her that he made the nationals and they all hug.

Tae-Joon is sitting with Sang-Chu and he flashbacks to his time with Eun-Gyeol.

Jae-Hee finds Eun-Gyeol packing because he is going to go back to prepare for nationals.

Jae-Hee is trying to reach a bowl down from a high shelf, Tae-Joon comes in and reaches it for her.

Eun-Gyeol is walking away when he realizes he picked up Jae-Hee’s phone so he goes back.

Tae-Joon is with Jae-Hee and he tells her that he wants to tell her something. Eun-Gyeol starts calling for her and she tries to leave, Tae-Joon blocks the way and tells her not to think about Eun-Gyeol when she is with him. He also says he won’t let her go to America and asks her to stay by his side and this is how the twelfth episode ends.

To The Beautiful You Episode 11 Summary September 29, 2012

 

The eleventh episode starts off with Jae-Hee trying to hold back Tae-Joon because he wants to go talk to Ha-Na about her telling everyone that him and Ha-Na are dating. Jae-Hee also tries to tell Tae-joon that she is a girl but he tells her to tell him later.

Ha-Na is in her car and she is getting lots of phone calls and the director is angry with her announcement. Tae-Joon finds her at her house before she goes in and he tells her that they need to talk he drags her to a cafe. He asks her why she did it and gets angry with her and tells her to stop it. She says she won’t and she gets mad about his relationship with Jae-Hee. Ha-Na asks him if he likes Jae-Hee, he can’t answer so she gives him an ultimatum to date her or kick Jae-Hee out.

Jae-Hee is visiting Sang-Chu and she discusses that Tae-Joon will be angry with her for not telling him that she is a girl and she cries.

Eun-Gyeol is kicking soccer balls, he flashbacks to his time with Jae-Hee and the time he would tell her something after he makes the team. Jae-Hee and Eun-Gyeol meet up walking she asks how the match went and he says good. He asks if she has been crying and she says no.

Jae-Hee goes back to her dorm and it starts raining, she goes out with her umbrella and waits for Tae-Joon. They meet in the rain and they go back to their dorm room and go to bed.

In Ha-Na’s classroom everyone is looking at the tablet and reading the news of Tae-Joon and Ha-Na dating. This spreads to the rest of Korea and to a group of girls protesting their relationship.

Tae-Joon gets a lot of attention with the news of the two dating as he walks down the hallway at school.

Jae-Hee is doing the laundry, she flashbacks to Johnny and he wants to know the answer to his question of them dating. Jae-Hee tells him he has been like a brother to her and he tells her that he knows what she is trying to say. He tells her that he will always be on her side and they end things amiably.

Eun-Gyeol sees her in the laundry room so he puts faces on his sock and does a sock puppet show for her. He joins her and she asks why he wasn’t in class he tells her because he slept it because of the match yesterday. He asks her why she does her laundry everyday and he helps pull out the clothes and notices they are Tae-Joon’s clothing. He asks her if she likes Tae-Joon, she gets slightly mad and so he says he was just joking.

Tae-Joon meets Ha-Na at their managers office, she threatens that if he doesn’t tell the manager that they are dating then she will tell her about Jae-Hee. Their manager freaks out at them and that everything will be relayed through their office.

Eun-Gyeol hears guys talking about Tae-Joon dating and he finally finds out about Tae-Joon and Ha-Na.

Ha-Na gets a text from Jae-Hee asking to meet to talk.

Eun-Gyeol remembers the day before when Jae-Hee was crying and realizes that if was probably the reason she was crying. Eun-Gyeol pulls Tae-Joon aside and asks if he likes Jae-Hee, Tae-Joon tells him not to get involved. Eun-Gyeol tells him not to make Jae-Hee cry anymore because he likes her.

Jae-Hee and Ha-Na meet, Jae-Hee tells her that she is sorry and asks why she didn’t tell Tae-Joon that she is a girl. Ha-Na asks why she even pretended to be a boy. Jae-Hee asks if she can tell Tae-Joon she is a girl and Ha-Na tells Jae-Hee that she doesn’t have permission to tell him yet.

Tae-Joon is in the dorm and Jae-Hee comes in he asks her where she was and if she was with Eun-Gyeol. She says no and he tells her to not stay out so late. Tae-Joon goes to grab her and ends up touching her on her chest and he awkwardly says he is going for a run. Jae-Hee winces in pain, he asks if her stomach hurts and she says no so Tae-Joon leaves the room. Tae-Joon is in the hall and holds his beating heart. Tae-Joon wonders what the date is and pulls out her calendar.

Jae-Hee goes to see Dr. Jang, she asks him if he has any pads because she used all of hers up.

Tae-Joon comes back and gives her some medicine for better digestion.

Seung-Ri and Jong-Min are waiting for Eun-Gyeol in his room. Hyun-Jae tells them to leave and that he will text them when Eun-Gyeol comes back.

Tae-Joon goes to feed Sang-Chu and talks about what to do with Ha-Na.

Ha-Na is in practice and gets a text from Tae-Joon that he is going to her school to talk to her. She practices her ribbon and flashbacks to her earlier discussions with Tae-Joon and she hurts her foot in practices. Tae-Joon tries calling her from the car.

Jae-Hee texts Eun-Gyeol is call her, Tae-Joon comes in and says he didn’t get to meet with Ha-Na. He says that they should go out and eat, he gets a call and finds out Ha-Na is hurt.

Tae-Joon goes to the hospital he meets his manager and she goes to talk to him. He goes into her room and he asks if she is okay and in pain, she says its just a sprain and that she isn’t in any pain. Tae-Joon flashbacks to the manager explaining that Ha-Na may have extensive damage to the ligaments in her ankle and that they will know after the results come out. She also explains that they haven’t told Ha-Na about it yet and he shouldn’t either. Back in her room ,he asks where her parents are and she says that are in Europe vacationing, she asks if he can spend the night here because she is scared and he agrees. Tae-Joon texts Jae-Hee that he will stay the night and not to wait up for him.

Ha-Na is taken care of by Tae-Joon and he leaves to go to the bathroom, she says she is happy that she got hurt. Tae-Joon’s phone gets a text from Jae-Hee saying that Ha-Na is probably okay and that he will probably be uncomfortable sleeping there, Ha-Na erases the message.

Tae-Joon walking back meets Seung-Ri who says that he has appendicitis and why did he come visit him. Tae-Joon says he didn’t come to see him but another friend. The doctor scolds him for walking around Seung-Ri says this is his father and he asks if he was the one in Ha-Na’s room. Seung-Ri freaks out and asks what happened to her and his father pulls him away.

Jae-Hee is checking her phone at the dorm and Tae-Joon is checking his phone at the hospital both wondering why they haven’t received a text message. Jae-Hee wakes up and hears Tae-Joon filling up a backpack, he tells her that he will have to stay in the hospital again and that there is a chance she won’t be able to do gymnastics again. She says that he should take care of himself too, he hesitates and then says goodbye.

Jae-Hee is in class and they ask her where Tae-Joon is and where Eun-Gyeol is.

Tae-Joon and his manager are talking and she says she will have to tell Ha-Na already and he volunteers to tell her.

Jae-Hee goes to the hospital with flowers and meets Seung-Ri and he tries to take the flowers from her thinking that she came to visit him. Tae-Joon goes into the room and says he has to tell her something about her injury and goes to hold her hand. Jae-Hee opens the door and sees Ha-Na crying into Tae-Joon’s shoulder, so she closes the door and walks away.

Jae-Hee cleans the dorm room and then goes on the computer, Seung-Ri comes in wondering if she has heard from Eun-Gyeol because he had told him that he was going home. Seung-Ri explains that he has really been down because he didn’t make the nationals and he gets mad at her for not knowing this about him. She asks him if he knows where he lives.

Eun-Gyeol is on a patio, throwing a ball to his dog, his mom sticks her head out asking if he is not going to school and he says he is staying one more day since he came because she is sick.

The doorbell rings and Jae-Hee is at the door they go sit on a bench, she asks why he didn’t tell her that he didn’t make the nationals and he says because he was embarrassed. He says sorry and she also says sorry because she didn’t pay enough attention to him. He tells her that he didn’t go to school because his mom has been a little sick and he lost is cell on the bus ride. He says that those are all excuses and that he needed time to think, he then asks how Tae-Joon and Ha-Na are. She tells him that Ha-Na is really sick and that she is thinking that she maybe shouldn’t have come here for Tae-Joon. Eun-Gyeol heart starts beating and he moves closer to her almost puts his hand around her but doesn’t.

Ha-Na is watching a video of her doing gymnastics on her laptop. Tae-Joon comes in saying she should stop watching that and she asks him to get her a glass of water. She goes through is phone pictures and finds a picture of Jae-Hee. Tae-Joon comes back and she asks him that he decided to jump again was because of Jae-Hee. He nods his head and she asks why he is doing this to her and that she has nothing left and that she won’t let him go.

Eun-Gyeol is watching Jae-Hee play with his dog, Jae-Hee sits with her phone and looks at the old text message from Tae-Joon. Eun-Gyeol says to himself that he can’t stand watching her in pain anymore. Eun-Gyeol hugs his mom and says sorry because he might do something that will shame her in the future and she tries to figure it out. His dad overhears and takes out his golf club and chases him around the house with it.

Ha-Na tells Tae-Joon that there is somewhere that she needs to go out of the hospital. He takes her in a wheel chair to a gym, she tells him if she hadn’t been hurt she would have competed here today. He tells her if she works hard on her rehab she will be able to do it again, she says she really liked her program this time and decides to show him it even with her sore foot. She flashbacks to her as a kid and she is explaining that she is going to do gymnastics because he said that gymnastics girls are pretty and they make a promise for her to win a medal. While performing she falls and cries, she touches the floor and says thanks for everything and then goodbye.

Tae-Joon brings Ha-Na back, he tells her that its better when she is honest with him. She tells him to leave and that she wants to be alone, her parents are coming back today. She tells him that she doesn’t want to chase someone who doesn’t like her and that she had liked him because he was a good athlete and now he isn’t that good anymore. She says sorry and that she is going to get over him and get someone better.

Eun-Gyeol and Jae-Hee drive back silently and go into the dorm. Eun-Gyeol stops her and says he has something to tell her. Tae-Joon comes back and sees the two of them talking. Eun-Gyeol tells her that he likes her and this is how the eleventh episode ends.
